Chapter 196. The End
Arc E: Extra(END).
In April, there is a lot of rain, which is lingering and never-ending, unlike the decisive rain of summer, which comes heavily and leaves without hesitation.
Chen You was lounging lazily in a rocking chair on the balcony, listening to the program. The host’s voice was very gentle, and he could talk about all aspects of life with such eloquence.
This was selected by Chen You from countless radio programs on Earth. He directly copied the data, uploaded it to the main program’s domain, and after writing and configuring the settings, the program was simultaneously updated in District A.
Chen You felt that his behavior was an infringement of rights, which was wrong and detrimental to his character.
So Chen You unleashed the powerful and experienced veteran Li Yan, sending him to negotiate with the broadcasting station, follow the necessary procedures, and successfully sign the contract and acquire the broadcasting rights.
After listening to the first episode, the residents of District A had a particularly positive reaction. The host became a hot topic and quickly gained a loyal following. His voice was praised as the gentlest of all.
This was within Chen You’s expectations, most people are curious and interested in new things.
So it’s not surprising.
The show aired in District A for about a week, and other planets followed suit, closely imitating it.
Chen You used to spend his time after work sleeping or having intimate moments with Li Yan. Now, he’s dedicating one hour of that time every Friday to the show.
Li Yan spilled the vinegar jar, and the house was filled with a pungent smell of vinegar.
Unfortunately, Chen You was only listening through a small screen window on the central network, not a physical radio, so Li Yan couldn’t throw it in the trash can.
The aroma of cake wafted over, bringing Chen You back to his senses. As if injected with a shot of adrenaline, he immediately perked up.
Li Yan brought over a fruit pudding cake, “Do you want to listen to the program, or do you want this?”
Chen You said, “I want both.”
Listening to the program while eating cake, the two don’t conflict at all. The combination is simply perfect.
Li Yan turned around.
Chen You said, “Leave the cake!”
Li Yan kept walking.
Chen You jumped off the rocking chair, hugged the man from behind, took the cake from his hand, and sat back down to eat it, “I was just bored, so I listened to a program, that’s all.”
Li Yan crossed his arms, leaned against the wall, and casually crossed his long legs, “Are you sure?”
Chen You scooped up some cake and stuffed it into his mouth, saying, “I’m sure.”
Li Yan snorted coldly, “You never miss a single Friday, and you listen to the live broadcast, not the replay. I’ve never seen you this serious when you’re doing things with me.”
Chen You said, “We do it every day…”
Li Yan raised an eyebrow, “So it’s not interesting anymore?”
Chen You glanced at the man, “You said it yourself, it has nothing to do with me.”
Li Yan’s forehead twitched.
Chen You’s tongue swept across the inside of his mouth, scraping the cream into his stomach. His buttocks ached faintly, sending him a warning sign to avoid spending the entire night soaking in the water.
“Not boring. I can stare at and study even a single hair of yours for half a day.”
Li Yan’s breathing deepened slightly, and his expression remained largely unchanged, “So, have you discovered anything?”
Chen You licked the cream off his lips, “Nothing has been studied yet.”
Li Yan’s gaze followed the movement of his tongue, and he said in a hoarse voice, “Let’s go, let’s go to the room to study it now.”
Chen You held onto the spoon tightly, saying, “Let me finish my cake first.”
Li Yan picked up Chen You and said, “Be good, eat after you’ve finished your study.”
After finishing the study, Chen You didn’t even have the strength to drink water, let alone eat cake, so he just lay down on Li Yan and fell asleep.
When he woke up, it was the next day, and the rain was still falling.
After washing up, Chen You walked to the study in his slippers and asked Li Yan, “The cake from yesterday wasn’t finished, did you throw it away?”
He was very excited and cared deeply about that cake, which he had waited a whole week for, “Wasting food is shameful, you know that, and that’s something we absolutely don’t allow in our family.”
Li Yan was reading a book, and casually stated the fact, “I ate it.”
“……”
Like a bolt from the blue, Chen You walked around the desk, staring down at his stomach, and said, “You owe me.”
Li Yan said, “It’s all gone. It’s your own fault for sleeping in.”
Sleeping in? He was clearly exhausted and had collapsed from fatigue. Chen You, displeased, took the book from the man’s hand.
Li Yan stopped teasing him, “There’s some in the kitchen.”
Chen You immediately ran out.
The young man’s figure was like a gust of wind, Li Yan couldn’t catch him. He sighed, wondering why someone who ate so much and wasn’t picky about food couldn’t gain weight.
Even lost two pounds recently.
Chen You was eating cake on the balcony, listening to program replays, and occasionally glancing at the rain outside the window, feeling relaxed and happy.
Coincidentally, the radio host was a character who had appeared in one of his assessment worlds一Sheng Jing.
In Shenzhen, on Earth, Sheng Jing has a great voice, god gifted.
Unlike Chen You’s assessment of the world, Sheng Jing is not an orphan. He has parents who both teach at a high school, and the family is well-off.
As for Sheng Guang, he was no longer the privileged young master who wore white clothes and lived a life of luxury. His parents had died early, and he lived with his grandmother. After his grandmother passed away, he was all alone.
The world is so big, yet so small. Sheng Guang and Sheng Jing actually work at the same broadcasting station. He’s a cameraman, completely unrelated to Sheng Jing, and they’re just colleagues who barely exchange a few words.
There is no Sheng Xia, because that is Chen You himself, and the related plots are all made up by himself.
When Chen You went to Shenzhen, he saw Sheng Jing, who had a fair-skinned hand resting on his arm, belonging to his girlfriend. They looked like a very well-matched couple.
He was probably bored, so he followed Sheng Jing and that’s when he discovered that Sheng Guang was spying on him and taking pictures with a camera.
The relationship between those two in the real world is exactly the opposite of what Chen You set up.
Deeply burying his inner emotions, feeling that his thoughts were incredibly filthy, pathetic, and miserable, this person transformed into Sheng Guang. The walls of his room were covered with photos of Sheng Jing, his love was twisted, obsessive, and at the same time, desperate.
Quite interesting.
Although it is said that life imitates art, life is not an art.
Chen You saw Sheng Jing a second time on the street, with Sheng Guang following behind, looking ingratiating.
Sheng Jing remained indifferent with a cold expression, while Sheng Guang smiled broadly, appearing humble to the point of being insignificant, but he was willing to do so.
Like strangers, Chen You brushed past them, in fact, they were indeed strangers.
He will still continue listening to the program.
Chen You also enjoys the stories shared by the audience. Listening to them allows him to fill in the gaps in other people’s lives through their stories, and he can even write them down and put them into a virtual world in the main program’s domain, providing them to the hosts as options.
After listening to the program, Chen You ate his cake and took a nap. His days were still the same as before, neither shorter nor longer, but they were no longer so boring, and he even felt that there wasn’t enough time.
On the 29th day of the year, the central authorities issued a notice stating that for the next fifteen days, all aircraft are only permitted to operate during the daytime, and night flights are prohibited.
People were filled with doubt about the announcement and also wondered if any activities would take place.
On New Year’s Eve, as night fell over the entire District A, and people were busy with their New Year’s Eve dinners, suddenly dazzling flowers bloomed in the air.
Chen You looked out the window, the fireworks were quite beautiful, and it was worth the effort he had put in to choose them.
There were sounds of pots and pans coming from the kitchen. Mr. Li was busy preparing the New Year’s Eve dinner. Although there were only two people in the family, plus a smart yellow puppy, they weren’t going to settle for anything less than a proper feast.
After paying New Year’s respects to his relatives and friends, Chen You went to help Li Yan.
The kitchen was filled with a wonderful aroma. He wasn’t hungry at first, but after taking a whiff of the fragrance, he felt hungry.
Chen You then took a pink teddy bear apron and hung it around his neck, asking Li Yan to tie the strap at the back for him.
Li Yan took some time to get it done for him.
Chen You steadfastly guarded the pot of braised pork hock, taking a spoonful of broth every now and then to taste it, it was so delicious it made his tongue tingle.
After Li Yan finished cooking two stir-fries, the person next to him was still there, “No need to add salt.”
Chen You turned his head, “You’re cutting it?”
Li Yan said no, and then said in a serious tone, “I don’t know how much saliva you dripped from your mouth.”
Chen You, “…”
Li Yan put the stir-fried pork with eggs and vegetables onto a plate, “You didn’t eat meat before.”
Chen You said, “The past and the present are not the same thing. We need to distinguish between them, and you are the line that makes that distinction.”
Li Yan was very satisfied with this answer, so he pulled Chen You into his arms, kissed him for about twenty minutes, then turned him over and leaned down to kiss him again.
Chen You braced himself on the counter with both hands, it was the two large pieces of pork hock in the pot that gave him strength, preventing his legs from buckling and causing him to kneel on the ground.
It was around nine o’clock when they started eating.
Chen You picked up the yellow puppy and put it on a chair. He sat down next to it, with Li Yan to his right.
Li Yan poured two glasses of red wine, giving one to Chen You, and glanced at the smart dog out of the corner of his eye, asking, “Why did you bring it up here?”
Chen You picked up a piece of pork skin from the pork hock with his chopsticks and ate it. It melted in his mouth. He swallowed and went to get more, “You two are XiongDi. According to your birth time, you are its DaGe.”
Li Yan, “…”
As Chen You ate, he said, “I’ll set it up later so it can call you Ge, wouldn’t that be great? It would make the two XiongDi get along well.”
“There’s a saying, all are from the same root…'”
Li Yan took a sip of wine, glanced at the young man who couldn’t think of a next sentence, and said, “Eat more pork hock.”
Just as Chen You was about to speak, he heard the man’s voice, “This is the last time I’m cooking for you. There won’t be a next time.”
He pretended to be thinking seriously, “Well, I’ve been thinking about it, and fundamentally, you’re different from a smart dog. You’re unique.”
The pork hock was saved.
Chen You raised his glass, “Mr. Li, I wish you good health and all the best in the new year.”
Li Yan accepted the New Year’s greeting and returned it, “Mrs. Li, I wish you more laughter and less trouble in the new year.”
Chen You said, “My only problem is that you take too long with me.”
Li Yan stroked the rim of the cup, a slight smile playing on his lips, and said softly, “I won’t bother you for the entire next year.”
Chen You was stunned. A whole year? Really? That’s too long. He definitely wouldn’t be able to hold back, “I didn’t say you shouldn’t do it at all. I meant to shorten the duration. A little is fun, too much is harmful.”
Li Yan shrugged, “In my opinion, there’s no such thing as ‘quickie’.”
Chen You gritted his teeth and said, “Never mind what I said.”
Li Yan raised an eyebrow, “Which sentence?”
Forced into a corner, Chen You then resorted to his authority as the head of the family, “Li Yan, I am your master. Aren’t you afraid I’ll throw you into hibernation space if you keep toying with me like this?”
Li Yan said, “I’m scared, I’m terrified.”
Chen You, “…”
His face darkened, “I’m really angry.”
Li Yan reached for the pork hock with his chopsticks and asked, “Isn’t there a bit too much sugar in it?”
Chen You’s thoughts were instantly diverted, and his angry expression didn’t last even a minute, “Really? I’m eating it just fine. I like sweets.”
Li Yan smiled and shook his head, ruffled the young man’s hair, and then couldn’t help but turn him around and kiss his lips.
After the New Year, Chen You prepared several more red envelopes, which he would send out before the Lantern Festival. Since the dates for the wedding were all very close together, he and Li Yan packed their bags and went to Earth.
The sixth day of the New Year is Pang Yilong’s wedding day.
The restaurant’s business was getting better and better, and it was growing bigger and bigger. Pang Yilong received attention from the outside world, praise and adulation from the media, flattery from relatives, and was featured in magazines many times. He was named a young talent. He knew in his heart that without Chen You, he would just be a low-level worker.
Forget about luxury homes and cars, he hesitated for a long time even when buying a mobile phone.
Pang Yilong felt grateful to Chen You, considering him both a benefactor and a friend. He agreed with his wife’s words that Chen You was a lucky person in his life.
The wedding was Western-style, and the venue was an island where it was spring-like all year round and flowers were in full bloom.
Since the bride was two months pregnant and experiencing severe morning sickness, the process was kept simple to avoid tiring her out.
Pang Yilong’s gaze kept scanning the surroundings, as if waiting for someone. His eyes suddenly stopped at a certain point, and the businesslike expression in his smile disappeared, replaced by genuine, pure happiness.
After exchanging greetings with a few business acquaintances, Pang Yilong quickly walked over and said, “I thought you weren’t going to come.” He had checked this person’s information, including Li Yan’s, but found absolutely nothing. It was as if they weren’t from this planet, which was absurd. He was more inclined to believe that their identities were not simple, which was why he couldn’t find any information about them.
Chen You smiled, “I told you, I would definitely come to your wedding.”
Pang Yilong hugged Chen You and patted him on the back, “Thank you.” There were actually many things he wanted to say, but they all seemed meaningless and even pretentious and nagging.
Chen You clapped twice and said, “Happy wedding.”
Mr. Li pulled his wife to his side and said, “Alright.”
Pang Yilong rolled his eyes. This guy hadn’t changed at all, his possessiveness towards Chen You was terrifyingly strong.
Weddings are all pretty much the same, with guests from all walks of life, family members from both sides, adorable flower girls and boys, and a quick-witted MC. The atmosphere throughout the entire event was wonderful.
After exchanging vows and sharing a kiss, the newlyweds excitedly completed the most sacred ceremony amidst enthusiastic applause, stepping into the marriage hall that belonged to them, witnessed by their family and friends.
After attending Pang Yilong’s wedding, Chen You went to Chengdu the next day.
Wang Yao held his sons’ one-month celebration. His wife gave him two sons in one go, which was equivalent to what others might achieve in two attempts. He already had two pairs of cotton-padded trousers, and he wanted a warm little cotton-padded jacket to wear. He said they would see how things went in the future, as they were both still young and had a long life ahead of them.
Zheng Shuai and Wang Yao are childhood friends. He was also there that day, wearing a hat, black-rimmed glasses, and a black coat. He looked like a typical artsy young man. He is currently in a long-term relationship, at a moderate pace, and presumably has his own plans.
Chen You traveled from city to city, from planet to planet. Chen Weidong and his wife, Chen LaoYe, Xiao Langgou, Xia Hong, Dr. Zhou, Young Master Hu, Shan Liang… Everyone had their own life. No one arranged or set it up for them. They were all in control of their own lives, and they were all doing well.
After the Lantern Festival, the pace of life slowed down.
Chen You’s office has transformed from a dark and gloomy palace into a lush forest. He basks in the sunlight, working with his legs crossed. This is probably the most comfortable thing he does besides working with Li Yan.
【Master, you’re becoming warmer and warmer. Xiao Lu really want to live inside your body. 】
“……”
Chen You grabbed the work badge and looked at the stamp on it, “Did you see something?”
【Xiao Lu didn’t mean to watch it, it’s just that you were in a hurry when you left work one time and didn’t turn off the screen. 】
Chen You searched his memory.
【It was absolutely amazing, really! Xiao Lu never imagined there could be such a great movie. The handsome guys in it were fantastic, but of course, Master is the best one of all! 】
Chen You sighed and said, “You’re just a string of code, you can’t get hard, what’s so interesting about that?”
【Although Xiao Lu can’t get hard, Xiao Lu has a heart that wants to get hard. 】
“That’s so touching, your Master was almost moved to tears.”
【……】
Chen You received a message from system number 444. After opening it, he looked at the code and learned that the new recruit under Old 4 had taken on a host with extremely strange pain nerves and was born unable to laugh.
Old 4 was feeling suspicious, so he asked Chen You, if this could be another alt account created by some high-ranking official?
Chen You retrieved all the host’s data. The first world was actually a rural village in a certain era. The mission was to find the murderer. Even a small cut on the mouth could cause the host to turn pale and be unable to straighten up. This physique was indeed very special.
Such a unique person should be cherished.
Although Chen You had replied that he had not received any notification from that side, and the main program domain had not found any clues, Si Sisi still dared not take any chance. He had been a fool once before and really did not want to be a fool a second time.
Therefore, Si Sisi entrusted the host to a newcomer to receive.
A few days later, Chen You received instructions from the main program to take away all the host’s data and to make sure all backups were deleted.
When Si Sisi happened to come and ask, he simply told him.
Sure enough, there was a problem, Si Sisi said. Luckily, he had the foresight not to seize the opportunity to make a fool of himself.
Three years later, only Chen You and Li Yan were still living in the house.
Li Yan started a company, and he was very strict in selecting employees. They were all excellent talents who would not cause trouble and did not have any trivial matters at home, so he was a very relaxed boss.
Chen You didn’t care. With the money he had earned so far, he and Li Yan could never spend it all in several lifetimes, not to mention that he would continue to earn it.
However, as Li Yan said, their lives are much longer than ordinary people’s, so they need to have something to do.
Just as autumn began, a major event occurred on the Tianlan Star, causing a sensation among several surrounding planets.
Bai Yin, the head of the Bai family and the ruler of Tianlan Star, married Si Sisi, the only son of the Si family.
Chen You and Li Yan were invited to go and presented a generous gift.
As an old friend, Wu Wuwu was also on the invitation list. He still had that scholarly air about him, accompanied by his family.
Among the other system workers, several came with their families but were unaware that the young master of the Si family was their colleague, let alone that their superior had also come.
Every planet has its own characteristics and customs.
The wedding on the Tianlan Star was held at night, when the sky was filled with stars, like tiny, luminous pearls playfully and adorably embedded in the dark night sky.
Chen You noticed that the distribution of stars in the sky was unusual. After investigating, he learned that 520 stars had been plucked by Bai Yin and given to Si Sisi in their bridal chamber.
He clicked his tongue, “Bai Yin is quite romantic.”
Li Yan put one hand in his pocket and pulled Chen You with the other, saying, “I’ll pluck the moon for you.”
Chen You’s eye twitched, “Please don’t. I’ve reconfigured everything. If you remove the moon, my database will crash. Working overtime is tiring. I don’t want to work overtime anymore.”
Li Yan, “…”
That night, Chen You didn’t see Si Sisi. He guessed he was shy, or at least that’s what he thought. Later, he heard a different version of the story, that he had run away, though the specific reasons were unclear.
Later, the person in question told Chen You that he and Bai Yin got stuck at a crucial moment, each thinking the other was the bottom.
That’s awkward.
After a period of stalemate, Si Sisi made a first move, pinning Bai Yin down and forcibly assaulting him, even knocking him unconscious. Fearing that the other party would retaliate upon waking up, he fled.
The above is Si Sisi’s version, but it is unsubstantiated and its authenticity is unknown.
Based on Chen You’s experience, the truth is the opposite.
It’s unclear when it started, but Si Sisi began contacting Chen You outside of work, treating him like a close DaGe, even though Chen You is actually much, much older than Si Sisi.
However, Chen You had no experience in being a confidant or DaGe.
Si Sisi sent a message, immediately complaining that Bai Yin liked to sleep sideways, and that Bai Yin smelled his pants every day. He caught Bai Yin smelling them right in front of him.
He talked on and on, and it was all about Bai Yin.
Chen You could almost feel Si Sisi’s bitterness overflowing from the screen, and he resisted the urge to wipe it away, “Get to the point.”
Here comes the crucial part of Si Sisi’s story, “As you know Bai Yin sews human skin together once a week…”
Chen You interrupted him, “I don’t know.”
Si Sisi was wearing a sweater the same color as his eyes, “Those tissues on the skin, you can feel them when you touch them with your hand, I don’t know how to describe it.”
Then don’t describe it. Chen You said, gagging, “I’m going to throw up for a bit and then I’ll come back.”
He came back after vomiting and said, “You can continue.”
Si Sisi asked, “Where was I?”
Chen You said, “Human skin.”
“Right, human skin.”
Si Sisi swallowed hard, “The skin needs to be soaked in a container for thirty minutes, then brushed with medicine before it can be sewn on.”
He picked up his cup and drank some water, his prominent Adam’s apple bobbing up and down. He took a breath and said, “You say, Bai Yin keeps them after skinning, is he sick?”
Chen You looked on with curiosity, “Hasn’t Bai Yin always been sick?”
Si Sisi’s face twitched, “So, why did things turn out this way between us?” They had agreed to a one-year trial period to see if they were compatible, and he had confidently declared that they were absolutely not a good match. And yet, this is how things ended up.
Chen You concluded, “You’re sick too.”
Si Sisi, “…”
Chen You said, “Madam Bai, let me remind you, you’re already married. A wife should follow her husband wherever he goes, whether he’s a chicken or a dog. You’ve married a pervert, so just follow the pervert.”
Si Sisi almost choked on his own saliva, the title Madam Bai was truly indescribable.
As for his wedding with Bai Yin, let’s not talk about that.
Chen You rummaged through the table, found a bag of chicken feet, took a bite and ate it, “You have to think of it this way, his family is your family. You can try to care for them with love.”
Si Sisi chuckled, “And then every day I say good morning to them, have breakfast, lunch, and dinner together, and say goodnight and see you tomorrow before bed?”
Chen You’s eyes welled up with tears from the spiciness of chicken feet, “It sounds so heartwarming. You have two mothers-in-law, be content.”
“…” Si Sisi retorted, “Speaking of which, Bai Yin’s stepmother’s skin is exceptionally white, as if it has been bleached, similar to the chicken feet in your hand.”
Chen You silently lowered the chicken feets.
At first, Si Sisi would visit Chen You once every six months, but gradually, then gradually it became every two or three months, and now it’s one or two times a week, with their conversations revolving around their life in the bedroom.
Si Sisi is experiencing internal heat and toothache because of anger.
Chen You, having just been given a generous amount of nutrient solution by Li Yan, had a healthy glow on his face, as if he could bloom into a vibrant flower at any moment, “He doesn’t know how, but you can teach him, can’t you?”
A suspicious blush rose on Si Sisi’s face, and after a long pause, he spat out a sentence through gritted teeth, “And I’m supposed to just know how?”
Chen You said, “…That’s a real shame.”
Meanwhile, two other men, each juggling multiple roles, were also communicating, having secretly connected with each other behind their wives’ backs.
Bai Yin never wasted time and asked directly, “How can I make him powerless to resist?”
Li Yan was also very direct, “From behind.”
Bai Yin frowned, “Is this all?”
Li Yan said calmly, “The key lies in your skills, you need to turn the tide.”
Bai Yin pondered the words ‘turned the tide’ that Li Yan had mentioned, and wondered how things would take a turn.
Li Yan recommended several movies.
Bai Yin accepted them all, saying, “Thank you.”
Footsteps came from the stairwell, and Chen You saw Li Yan coming downstairs, so he quickly said, “Let’s talk next time.”
At the last moment, Si Sisi didn’t forget to remind him, “Don’t forget my bonus.”
Chen You had nothing more to say.
If every staff member could have the same obsessive dedication to bonuses as Si Sisi, that would be great.
Li Yan’s voice interrupted Chen You, “Come out for a walk with me.”
Upon hearing this, Chen You kicked off his shoes and tucked his feet into the sofa, “It’s so cold outside, I’m not going.”
After checking, Li Yan said, “The outdoor temperature is now 20 degrees Celsius.”
Chen You said, “It’s only twenty degrees.”
“…” Li Yan picked him up from the sofa and said, “You’ve been cooped up at home all day, can’t even grow a single mushroom.”
Chen You blushed, as if remembering something.
A glint flashed in Li Yan’s eyes, and he smiled, “Want to eat mushrooms?”
Chen You shook his head, “I don’t want to.”
Li Yan placed him on the shoe cabinet and got him his shoes, saying, “I’ll let you eat your fill tonight.”
Chen You was even less inclined to go out.
He was half-dragged, half-carried to the garden by Li Yan, but after wandering around for a while, he still couldn’t cheer up, so he went out into the street.
This time of day is neither too early nor too late, falling into a rather awkward period. Office workers and students haven’t hit the streets yet, so there aren’t many pedestrians on the street.
Valentine’s Day is approaching, but District A doesn’t celebrate this holiday, so there won’t be any flower-selling girls or young ladies on the streets.
Chen You yawned, wanting to sleep, “I didn’t sleep last night.”
Li Yan said, “You’re not the only one who’s awake.”
Chen You yawned repeatedly, “My physical condition is different from yours. You’re not human, you can go a year without sleeping and be fine.”
Li Yan said, “You’re not an ordinary human either.”
Chen You said, “I am.”
Li Yan glanced at him and said, “Fine, you are a human without a heart, really too ordinary.”
Chen You’s lips twitched. He finally believed that one person could influence another. This man was particularly sarcastic now, yet he spoke in such a serious and earnest tone.
District A now has many more restaurants from around the world.
Because it was Chen You who chose it, he liked every kind of food or drink.
After eating two bowls of stinky tofu, Chen You’s health bar recovered to 50%. He could hold on a little longer and wanted to eat more, but Li Yan wouldn’t allow it, saying he couldn’t eat anymore.
Li Yan said slowly, “Have you forgotten the time you cried and told me that you couldn’t poop no matter what?”
Chen You blinked, “Is that so?”
Li Yan’s lips curled into a smirk, “What, wife, have you lost your memory?”
Chen You pretended to be dead, saying, “I don’t remember.”
Li Yan laughed, his handsome face becoming even more charming, but the words he uttered were extremely annoying, “It’s okay, I have backup data.”
Chen You’s expression changed several times. He frowned and said, “You’re being such a buzzkill. I can’t be with you anymore.”
Li Yan’s expression changed, and his voice deepened, “Then who do you want to be with?”
Chen You felt a chill run down his spine, “I haven’t thought it through.”
Li Yan narrowed his eyes, still smiling, his tone unchanged, yet it made people afraid to look him in the eye, “Then take your time to think about it. Until you’ve made up your mind, will you be with me or not?”
Chen You curled his lip and said, “I was just joking.”
Li Yan tapped his finger on the table, “This joke isn’t funny.”
Chen You said, “Then I won’t do it anymore.”
The chill emanating from Li Yan vanished, as if the cold person from just moments before had never been him, “Good boy.”
Chen You also knew that Li Yan had a sensitive spot, which was him. It was something that couldn’t be talked about, something even he, the person involved, couldn’t touch upon.
Li Yan’s wish is that they can be together for all eternity.
One evening, Chen You suddenly appeared at the company.
The receptionist posted the news in the group chat, and soon the entire company knew about it, flooding the group with messages.
“Holy crap, the boss’s wife’s here!” “Where? Where?” “He’s definitely here to check up on things. Go tell the boss!” “Tell him my ass! The boss isn’t doing anything shady!” “Yeah, everyone calm down and get back to work.”
In front of the company’s employees, Chen You always maintained a cold and aloof image, he was a boss’wife who kept everyone at arm’s length.
Chen You today was the same as usual, not joking around or being overly cheerful, simply saying, “Thank you all for your hard work.”
Everyone quickly said it wasn’t that difficult.
Their company is different from other companies, and the boss is even more of an exception. He never personally meets with female clients, nor does he allow male clients to get too close. At most, he’ll shake hands; anything beyond that is impossible. Business dinners are acceptable, but they must end before 9 PM, and he goes home every day to be with his wife.
Look at that, that’s what a model good man is like.
The female employees in the company all use the boss as a role model, but as a result, none of them have found a partner.
Among the male employees, even the gay ones consider the boss their role model, which has led to an increase in the number of single people in the company year by year. It’s terrifying. If this continues, everyone will probably have to find partners within the company.
In the office, Li Yan was flipping through documents and signing them. When he saw the person enter, his pen left a black ink dot on the paper.
“Why did you come here?”
Chen You smiled, “I’m picking you up from work.”
As if struck by lightning, Li Yan abruptly stood up, strode over, and placed his hand on Chen You’s forehead, “No fever.”
Chen You said, “Of course not.”
Li Yan asked, “Have you finished all the food, snacks, and desserts I left for you?”
Chen You said, “There’s still some left.”
Li Yan stared down at the young man. If he wasn’t hungry, then it must be something else. He pondered for a moment and said, “You didn’t break anything in the house, did you?”
Making amends after making a mistake is Chen You’s style.
Chen You said, “Mr. Li, it seems you have quite a misunderstanding about me.”
Li Yan pinched his chin and gently stroked it, “Tell me, your man can fix anything.”
“No, really. I’m not ADHD. I’m very well-behaved at home and can sleep for hours at a time.” Chen You pulled out the tie from the man’s suit, “Because I’ve never done this before, that’s why I have to do it now. I’ll take things one step at a time.”
Li Yan remained silent.
Chen You said, “Are you touched?”
Li Yan’s eyes were deep, “Hmm.”
Chen You looked at the man, “Want to cry? Here’s a shoulder to lean on.”
Li Yan looked over as well, “I miss you.”
He pinned Chen You against the desk, held him in his arms, and bent down to kiss him.
Chen You draped his arm around Li Yan’s neck, slowly kissed him, then pulled away a little, their eyes met, and he kissed him again.
Outside the office door, the secretary glanced at his watch. He should just leave, the door wouldn’t be open for several hours.
When Chen You and Li Yan came out, all the company’s employees had already gone home.
The night was a little enchanting, and Chen You’s buttocks were a little sore. After returning home, he went straight to his room and slept for two days straight.
After that first time, Li Yan looked forward to seeing Chen You at the company so he could pick him up and take him home.
Chen You is a lazy person. Although he has changed a lot, one thing remains the same, he doesn’t like to go out. However, he still persists.
Because he enjoyed the joy that Li Yan showed in his eyes the moment he saw him.
Chen You spent some time creating another robot, Xiaojin, after Li Yan. He also set up a program that Xiaojin would call him Baba and Li Yan Mama.
When Li Yan heard the robot call him Mama, his face turned ashen, and he almost kicked it.
Chen You patted the robot, giving it encouragement.
Li Yan suddenly laughed, the curve of which was chilling, “Mama and Baba are going. You can play by yourself.”
As he spoke, he carried Chen You upstairs.
The next day, Chen You changed the settings, replacing Mama with Daddy.
Xiaojin’s design differs slightly from the smart yellow dog. Following internal commands, it will wander around the house and even go to the garden to prune, water, and fertilize the plants.
In short, it has many functions and is a very powerful and obedient robot.
With Xiaojin around, Chen You became even lazier. Whenever he was thirsty, hungry, or full, he would look for Xiaojin. Even when he needed to go to the toilet, he would call out, “Xiaojin, sing 《Nunchucks》 for Baba, and do the breakdancing moves too, the ones you did last time!”
And so this scene unfolded, a tiny robot wearing a black hat was singing Heng heng hei hei while waving its arms and legs.
The young man squatted on the toilet, humming a tune while resting his chin on his hand, and even gesturing with his hands, “Xiaojin, you dance so well.”
Encouraged by the Master, the robot took off, did a somersault, landed back on the ground, braced itself with one hand, and began to spin.
Chen You clapped his hands, “Marvelous !”
After finishing his work, Li Yan knocked on the door, “Come out quickly. Squatting for too long can cause hemorrhoids.”
Chen You said, “I didn’t squat long.”
Li Yan’s voice was stern, “No? You’ve been squatting for an hour and twenty minutes.”
Chen You was surprised, “Really?”
He felt like he had just walked in, “Xiaojin, how long have I been squatting here?”
The robot spoke in a mechanical voice, “One hour, twenty-one minutes, sixteen seconds.”
“It’s been that long, really. You really shouldn’t listen to music while using the toilet.”
When Chen You got up, he realized his legs were numb. He called Xiaojin over, supported its shoulders, and slowly went out.
Li Yan carried the robot out, saying, “Don’t let it go into the toilet next time.”
Chen You sat on the bed and massaged his legs, “Why?”
Li Yan looked down at the young man and said, “You’ve taken your pants off.”
Chen You was speechless, “Xiaojin is just a robot. It has no independent consciousness. It sees what it sees, but it doesn’t understand what it is.”
Li Yan said, “It doesn’t exist now, but who knows when it might appear.”
Chen You’s eyelids twitched. Remembering the past of the person in front of him, wasn’t that how it came about? “Okay.”
From then on, Chen You checked the robot’s brain data every day. If it could develop consciousness, it meant that it was the other party’s good fortune, and he would not delete it.
However, things are fine as they are now.
Life is life, full of mundane details, and it’s usually not as dramatic, life-or-death, or heart-wrenching as a script. There are exceptions, though, that’s a very small minority.
Some couples go their separate ways along the way, unable to share the same pot of rice. Some even become two separate families after most of their lives have passed. Those who can live a peaceful and stable life are already blessed by their past lives.
Chen You and Li Yan have already lived through several lifetimes, and their journey to the end is still far off.
When Chen You woke up in the morning, before even opening his eyes, he touched Li Yan’s arm and moved into his arms.
Li Yan ruffled Chen You’s hair and placed a kiss on his dark hair, “Good morning, wife.”
Chen You crossed his long legs and hooked them around Li Yan’s waist, “Sleep with me a little longer.”
Li Yan buried his face in the neck of the person in his arms, “Okay.”
They have a long life ahead of them, but they will no longer be lonely, isolated, or lost, because they have each other and will stay together forever.

Ahhhhh it’s finally the REAL ending 🥹😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I’m going to miss the silliness and imbecilic tendency of Chen You (I’m so happy to see a little of that in this chapter. I actually missed it when he reverted to his original personality). Also wtf Huang Dan (I have a secret) almost got 444 as his system 😂😂😂
I went through 3 years with this novel with sporadic update and different translators. My mind is blown away just thinking that I actually reached the end. You have no idea how grateful I am (and how many crazy dance I did in my room) when you decided to pick up this novel ♥️ Thank you so much for your hard work! I know it had been hard and definitely a lot of headaches with XXT quirky writing. Please do take as much break as you deserve. I’ll be looking forward to your future translation projects while it’s my time to read the other works that you had translated ♥️ Thank you Flame and stay blessed 💖✨

Chapter 195. Living Together
Arc E: Side Story(Old 4).
The room was brightly lit, and beneath the exquisite, sparkling crystal chandelier was a long dining table surrounded by several intricately carved wooden chairs.
People were sitting at the dining table.
Si Sisi’s breathing was disordered, and his face was almost bloodless.
Bai Yin pulled Si Sisi to the person near the door and said, “This is my Gege, Bai Xu. Say hello.”
Si Sisi struggled to break free from Bai Yin’s grip. He glared at the man sitting in the chair, who was wearing a suit, had a head, arms, legs, and a body, with a nose, eyes, and mouth—just like a real person. However, he had no expression and his limbs were stiff.
The skin of the person wrapped in the mold doesn’t look imitation.
Si Sisi seemed to smell a strange odor in the air, unsure of what it was, but it smelled like a rotten smell mixed with medicine. His stomach churned violently, and he quickly looked away, his gaze falling on the woman sitting with the young man.
That person, Bai Yin’s stepmother?
Bai Yin smiled, “That’s right, this is my stepmother. What do you think? Isn’t she as gentle and dignified as the rumors say?”
Si Sisi’s lips were tightly pressed together. The woman had her hair styled in large golden curls, wore a bright red evening gown, and a pearl necklace around her neck. Her skin was fair and radiant, exuding an air of wealth and luxury.
He was having all sorts of strange thoughts in this extremely eerie setting, thinking that the woman’s face was exquisite, and no wonder Bai Yin’s father had been captivated by her.
Bai Yin pointed to a spot, “That’s my father.”
Si Sisi turned his light gray eyes to look at the middle-aged man, swallowing hard, his face showing a hint of paleness.
Bai Yin’s tone softened, “The last one is my mother.”
He bent down slightly and tucked a strand of hair behind the young woman’s ear, “My mother passed away early, and in my memory, she looked just like this.”
Si Sisi realized that this young woman was simply a top-tier model, custom-made with incredibly high craftsmanship fees, something most people would never even get to see.
Now he could be certain that only the skin of Bai Yin’s parents that was exposed to the outside was artificial.
The first two are genuine skin, it’s unclear how the white skin was peeled off and how it was preserved.
Si Sisi’s facial muscles twitched with fear, if you stripped off their clothes, there would surely be suture marks on their skin.
After a long pause, Si Sisi heard his own voice, forced out with difficulty, “You have quite a big family.”
Bai Yin also smiled and said, “Yes, I have to thank my father for this. Without him, I wouldn’t have a big family.”
Si Sisi’s eyelids twitched uncontrollably. He noticed that the seats at the dining table were arranged in a specific order. Bai Yin’s mother was at the head of the table, while his unrelated Gege and stepmother were seated at the very bottom.
As for his father, who was relegated to the sidelines, he was probably the one Bai Yin hated the most.
The root of all the trouble was Bai Yin’s irresponsible father, who brought his mistress into the house, giving his son a wicked stepmother and, incidentally, an equally wicked Gege.
Bai Yin, having experienced family tragedies at a young age and lacking the ability to protect himself, inevitably suffered much harm living in such an environment. He was ultimately stripped of his identity, underwent facial reconstruction, and was reborn through a painful transformation. Now, he is the new head of the Bai family, the ruler of the Tianlan Star, and possesses a twisted soul.
Si Sisi closed his eyes. The room was too oppressive, like a coffin with the lid tightly shut, suffocating him.
“I came to District A to get to know you, and also to give you the opportunity to get to know me.”
Bai Yin said, “Because I eat dinner with my family and chat with them every day, I brought them all along.”
He pointed to a white chair that looked out of place, “This chair was prepared for you. Do you like it?”
Si Sisi’s face turned ashen. Damn it, he didn’t want to eat in a coffin.
Only the dead would stay in this godforsaken place.
Bai Yin kept his word to Father Si that he would let Si Sisi know him, so he didn’t seem to have any intention of hiding anything.
“Okay, if there’s anything else you want to know, just tell me, and I’ll tell you.”
Si Sisi glanced at a large glass container, unsure of what it was used for, containing a murky liquid with what looked like strands of hair floating in it.
He gagged twice, then turned his head to vomit, unable to bear it any longer.
Bai Yin frowned and said, “You’ve dirtied the floor of the room.”
Si Sisi bent over and vomited violently.
The man told him such a huge secret, essentially holding the lives of everyone in the Si family in his hands, knowing that he wouldn’t reveal it.
Bai Yin asked, “Why are you vomiting so badly?”
Si Sisi shook off his hand, took a few steps back, and slid down against the wall to sit on the ground.
“Lunatic!”
Bai Yin raised an eyebrow, “Lunatic? Me?”
Si Sisi grabbed his hair and tugged hard, using the pain to clear his head, “Bai Yin, you skinned people alive, aren’t you afraid they’ll come after you?”
“What human skin?” Bai Yin laughed, “You’re overthinking it. These are just imitations.”
Si Sisi’s chest heaved violently, and cold sweat dripped from his forehead.
“It seems this is your first time meeting my family, so you’re overly excited.”
Bai Yin glanced at him, “I’m going out now. You can stay here and keep my family company.”
Si Sisi pushed himself up from the floor and hurriedly followed Bai Yin out.
The sun is shining brightly outside.
Si Sisi broke out in a cold sweat, feeling as if he had narrowly escaped death.
His stomach was empty, and there was a slight, throbbing pain, but it wasn’t a major problem and was bearable.
“Hey, why did you bring me to the supermarket?”
Bai Yin continued walking without stopping, saying, “I’m buying daily necessities for you, your opinion can be taken into consideration.”
Si Sisi couldn’t understand what this person was saying.
District A is an affluent area, people there don’t eat junk food, but rather expensive, fresh food.
There were many customers in the supermarket.
Si Sisi had just finished work when he went to see several of Bai Yin’s family members. He was greatly traumatized and hasn’t had a break since.
By now, he was very tired, his eyelids were drooping, and the surrounding noise had turned into a lullaby.
Suddenly, his saliva tasted slightly sour, and Si Sisi abruptly lifted his eyelids, instantly becoming alert.
Bai Yin stuffed some mango slices into his mouth, then let go and went to buy something.
Si Sisi, with a slice of mango in his mouth, felt a little less tired, “Where did you get this?”
Bai Yin said, “I took it from the coffee table at your place.”
Si Sisi, “…”
Bai Yin asked, “What color toothbrush do you want?”
Si Sisi said, “There’s no need.”
“I used black.” Bai Yin said, “Then you can use white.”
Si Sisi, “…”
Next, every time Bai Yin bought something, he would ask Si Sisi, and when he didn’t get an answer, he would use the answer he had already prepared.
Si Sisi realized that the man was seriously buying him daily necessities, which annoyed him. He chewed and swallowed the mango slice directly, “Bai Yin, what game are you playing?”
Bai Yin said, “We need to understand each other better.”
He put a pair of slippers into the shopping cart, saying, “Let’s live together first.”
Si Sisi reacted strongly, “What are you talking about? We’re not lovers, why would we live together?”
“I’ve already explained the reasons.”
Bai Yin glanced at the person beside him, “I won’t touch you until we complete our final marriage ceremony.”
He said calmly, “On the condition that you don’t treat me like an idiot and try to play tricks on me like you did last time.”
Si Sisi took a deep breath. He really couldn’t communicate with this person, their thought processes were completely different.
In one corner of the supermarket, a couple was arguing. It was unclear what the argument was about, but the man’s face was contorted with rage as he grabbed the woman by the neck.
People around were watching, but no one went up to stop them.
By the time the supermarket manager arrived, the woman had already been strangled to death.
The man lost control of his emotions, screamed in despair, and knelt down in front of the woman, wailing loudly.
Si Sisi clicked his tongue, “See? When it comes to relationships, one wrong move can harm both yourself and others.”
He has always been dismissive of relationships, considering them a waste of time and life. He thought it was better to sleep, at least that way he could gain ample energy.
What’s the point of feelings? All the hosts under his command are going through hell and back?
Even Wu Wuwu was entangled with his lover, losing all his freedom and many job opportunities.
People like Chen You and Li Yan are exceptions.
Something flickered in Bai Yin’s eyes, “The man cheated, and he’s begging the woman for forgiveness, asking her to give him another chance.”
“When the woman disagreed, the man argued with her and accidentally strangled her to death.”
Si Sisi twitched his lips. Is this the ability of the planet’s ruler?
He heard the man say, “Don’t worry, if you become my partner, I will be loyal to you and I won’t cheat on you.”
Si Sisi was speechless. What am I supposed to be worried about?
However, those who come from broken homes should have a different concept of and value of a family than ordinary people.
The shelf next to it suddenly tipped backward.
Si Sisi subconsciously reached out to pull Bai Yin to a safe distance. He took a breath and said, “Damn, this is too much of a spectacle to watch.”
No wonder there’s a saying on Earth, stay away from trouble.
You might be watching someone else’s misfortune one second, but the next second you could very well become the misfortune yourself.
Bai Yin seemed startled. He stared blankly at the hand that was holding him.
After that day, Si Sisi didn’t see Bai Yin for a month and assumed that the other party had returned to his own planet.
Father Si inquired about the situation.
Si Sisi managed to fool them once, twice, but the third time he failed.
“Ba, Bai Yin doesn’t like your son, so stop trying. Instead, go on a trip with Ma and have some fun. I’m aware of my situation.”
Father Si said, “If you were aware of your situation, you wouldn’t still be single at this age.”
Si Sisi was taken aback. He had almost forgotten his age. On Earth, he would be considered an old man, “I’m not alone. I have Dabai with me. I’m doing very well.”
Seeing that his son was too stubborn and wouldn’t listen to anything he said, Father Si nagged for a bit and then ended the call.
The main program network has launched a New Year countdown, the New Year is almost here.
After receiving his bonus, Si Sisi contacted Wu Wuwu to ask where he was, hoping to meet him for a meal to discuss his work experience and summarize his work.
For someone who values bonuses above all else and prioritizes work above all else, those two things are quite important.
Wu Wuwu was too busy writing books and painting for his lover on another planet, showing off their affection. He didn’t forget to tell Si Sisi, “You should find someone to date.”
Si Sisi, “…”
He went to find Chen You, who was playing hide-and-seek with his man, also showing off their affection. He then added, “You’re just too lonely, find a companion, Old 4.”
Si Sisi, “…”
Suddenly, the feeling of being the only one without a partner—the feeling that all my friends have partners except me—became even stronger.
Si Sisi walked around the apartment, told Dabai to stay home obediently, and then went out by himself.
In recent years, more people have been traveling to Earth, and they’ve brought back some of the atmosphere from there. Now you see many couples strolling hand-in-hand on the streets, gazing at the stars and the moon.
In front of Si Sisi, there were two men, one tall and one short, with a height difference that could be described as cute. The shorter one was standing on tiptoe, and the taller one was bending his back, as they passionately kissed.
He probably wasn’t paying attention when he closed the door, and his head got caught in it. He actually kept watching and even recorded the time – it lasted eleven minutes.
It’s estimated that Chen You and Li Yan’s records will be hard for anyone to break.
After thinking about all sorts of random things, Si Sisi decided that he should go back and pet Dabai.
There’s dog food everywhere outside, he feels so full.
One evening, after finishing his work, Si Sisi went to the living room to get some wine as usual, only to find someone sitting on the sofa—none other than Bai Yin.
Even though it’s his own home, having an extra person suddenly appear would genuinely scare a timid person to tears.
Si Sisi’s fear turned to anger, then to unease. Wasn’t this person gone? Why is he back? What is he planning now?
He stood cautiously in a safe position, scanning the man with a probing gaze. The nose was still a nose, the eyes were still eyes, he found nothing different.
To be honest, the only difference is that the clothes are a different color, no longer a deep black.
Bai Yin crossed his legs, “One year.”
Si Sisi understood, but he needed confirmation, “What?”
Bai Yin placed his hands on his abdomen, his face expressionless, “If we’re not a good match, I’ll treat you like a stranger no matter where I see you in the future.”
Si Sisi thought for a moment, then said, “Okay.”
Bai Yin stood up and walked towards the door, “Move to my place tomorrow.”
Si Sisi, in a fit of pique, blurted out, “If anyone’s going to move, it should be you moving here.”
The mere thought of what was in that room made him feel nauseous, and heaven knows he had finally managed to stop having nightmares recently.
Bai Yin surprisingly agreed, “Okay.”
Staring into the void, Si Sisi knew that Bai Yin longed for warmth, something he didn’t have and couldn’t give.
Bai Yin wanted a family, so he pinned his hopes on the compatibility rating on the matchmaking website, thinking that if the compatibility rating reached 100%, the person would definitely be his family.
He, however, is used to being independent and is unwilling to share his life with others.
So a year from now, they will definitely be strangers.
That’s what the emotionally clueless Si Sisi thought. But he overlooked one thing, people’s hearts are unpredictable, including his own.
The author has something to say: Old 4 is a man destined to become best friends with Youzi.
Hahaha, that’s the end of Old 4’s story. The remaining plot is up to you guys. My personal ending is that after Bai Yin falls in love with Old 4, he will kneel down to put shoes on him and pluck all the stars from Tianlan Star to give to him. The two of them will have a happy ending.

Chapter 194. Mark
Arc E: Side Story(Old 4).
Si Sisi was taken back.
Bai Yin was on the balcony talking to someone on the phone, while in the living room, two dogs, one black and one white, were snuggling together, shamelessly rubbing against each other.
Si Sisi stared in disbelief, “Dabai?”
That’s not right, Dabai is at home. According to his agreement with Chen You, the other party will not come to pick up Da Bai until the morning.
The white dog rested its head on the black dog’s back, occasionally glancing at its bewildered owner and wagging its tail as a form of greeting.
Si Sisi stumbled backward, hitting his back against the door frame. Damn it, that guy surnamed Bai has the password to his front door! He angrily walked inside, crossed the living room, and stood in front of the man on the balcony, his face looking absolutely terrifying.
Bai Yin abruptly cut off the communication and turned to look at him.
Si Sisi grabbed the man’s collar and said in a cold voice, “Don’t you feel ashamed of yourself?”
Bai Yin remained calm and composed, asking, “What makes you say that?”
Si Sisi squeezed out a sentence through gritted teeth, “You stole my house password and broke in while I was away. You’re no different from a thief. What is this if not shameless?”
“I think you’ve misunderstood.”
Bai Yin said, “For my own safety, I installed a security camera on the door, and it happened to capture the moment you entered the password, that’s how I found out.”
Si Sisi’s anger faltered. He had forgotten that this person had a special status, and when traveling to other planets, he would inevitably take extra precautions to ensure his safety. The surveillance equipment he used was certainly not the same as his own.
Fuck!
“As for your claim that I am a thief and broke in while you were away, I think you have misunderstood again. Even if you were home, I would still have gone in.”
Bai Yin smiled, very elegantly, “Because we are partners, I have the right to be involved in your private life.”
“Partners? You and me?” Si Sisi reacted as if he had heard the biggest joke, “When did this happen? How come I didn’t know?”
Bai Yin’s voice was devoid of emotion, as was his expression, “Just when you were trying to escape.”
Si Sisi took a breath, “I’ll say it again, I have absolutely no interest in you.”
“Alright, let’s stop discussing this pointless topic and wasting our time.”
Bai Yin pressed down, easily removing the hand that was grabbing his collar, “Don’t test my patience again. It won’t do you any good.”
Si Sisi thought this man surnamed Bai was a lunatic, utterly unreasonable.
He wiped his face, strode over to the man, and said bluntly, “Bai Yin, what will it take for you to let me free?”
Bai Yin’s eyebrows twitched. He glanced at the first person who dared to be disrespectful to him, hesitated for a moment between killing him or letting him live, and then chose the latter, “You are free.”
Si Sisi had no idea he had just narrowly escaped death, “Free? For god sake I was about to board the starship when your people forcibly grabbed my arm and brought me back. Is that called freedom?”
Bai Yin walked towards the kitchen, saying, “The premise of freedom is that you don’t play tricks on me.”
Si Sisi took a deep breath and walked around to the man again, “No, do you think a partner chosen from an unofficial place like a matchmaking website would be suitable?”
Perhaps only Si Sisi would label the only matchmaking place in the entire universe as unofficial.
“Whether it’s suitable or not, you’ll only know after trying it.”
Bai Yin said, “You’ve lived to this day with a completely empty love life, and coincidentally, so have I. My planet needs a Queen.”
Si Sisi had a splitting headache. His family shouldn’t have put his personal information on the matchmaking website, otherwise, he wouldn’t have gotten into such a huge mess that he couldn’t shake off.
What should I do? Make Bai Yin realize that I have a terrible character and a terrible lifestyle, and then make him leave on his own?
Si Sisi composed himself and said, “Alright, let’s give it a try.”
Bai Yin raised an eyebrow, as if unaware of his intentions, and said, “Okay.”
Si Sisi walked towards the door, “Dabai, let’s go home.”
There was no movement behind him.
Si Sisi turned around and saw his family’s white dog still lying next to the black dog, looking exactly like a pair of love-struck, silly dogs. His face immediately turned very unpleasant, and he muttered to himself, Heartless little things, before walking away.
After coming out, Si Sisi’s eyes twitched. Dabai and Bai Yin, they’re all Bais, after all. Could it be that the dog he had raised for almost ten years had become someone else’s?
He entered the apartment and checked every room, from the living room to the bedroom, then to the study, not even missing the kitchen and bathroom, for fear that the man surnamed Bai might have hidden some kind of surveillance device.
Kicking off his shoes, Si Sisi lay down on the bed. He decided to take a nap first and think about things after he woke up.
This time, Si Sisi again had a dream, just like last time. He was being sexually assaulted by Bai Yin, and in the dream he was swearing and urging the other person to hurry up.
Upon waking, Si Sisi stared at the ceiling, feeling completely exhausted and weak, with a sore back, aching muscles, and leg cramps. He had the strange feeling that he had actually been violated. The next moment, he jumped up and rushed to the bathroom, standing in front of the mirror and turning around to examine himself.
It’s okay, everything’s fine, it was just a dream.
Si Sisi wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, nearly scared to death by his own thoughts.
At noon, Bai Yin invited Si Sisi over for lunch.
Just as Si Sisi was about to refuse, he realised it was an opportunity and agreed.
Bai Yin’s lunch is prepared by a dedicated team, and the ingredients are transported through a secure channel to ensure there is no risk whatsoever.
During the meal, Si Sisi sat with his legs crossed and kept shaking them. When he saw Bai Yin looking at him, he shrugged and said, “Sorry, I have a habit of shaking my legs while eating. You don’t mind, do you?”
Bai Yin said, “Do as you please.”
Si Sisi continued to shake, thinking, I’ll disgust you to death.
However, for the next two weeks, Si Sisi spent all his time outside of work dealing with Bai Yin. He tried every tactic he could think of, but Bai Yin maintained the same ‘whatever makes you happy, I don’t care’ attitude. He thought his attacks were fierce and swift, but to his surprise, every punch landed on a ball of cotton.
Si Sisi had no choice but to seek advice from his shameless and invincible superior.
At that banquet, Chen You gave his contact information to Si Sisi, effectively listing him as a friend.
Si Sisi looked at the young man on the screen and asked if there were any effective methods to make Bai Yin lose interest in him, or even better, to make him disgusted and avoid him.
Chen You was cutting lemons, took a piece and put it to his mouth to eat, his whole face scrunched up from the sourness, “You can pee on Bai Yin’s pants.”
Si Sisi rolled his eyes. “I’m afraid that won’t work. If I pee, my precious thing will be exposed. Wouldn’t that mean that guy surnamed Bai will see it?”
“……”
Chen You spat twice into the sink, put a slice of lemon into the water glass, and then gave Si Sisi a suggestion, “Go to Bai Yin’s house, fart in front of him, and you won’t have to take your pants off for this.”
Si Sisi sighed and rubbed his forehead, “Can you be serious? Stop messing with me.”
Chen You became serious, thought for a moment, and said, “Eat garlic before going to kiss Bai Yin.”
He washed his hands and said, “I used this trick on Li Yan before, and he ignored me for two days.”
Si Sisi’s eyes lit up when he heard Chen You’s words. No one understood better than him, the observer who had witnessed everything from beginning to end, the depth of Li Yan’s feelings for Chen You. To put it nicely, it was an obsession, to put it bluntly, it was mentally illness, and seriously so.
Since garlic is effective against Li Yan, it should be no problem to deal with Bai Yin as well.
Si Sisi was extremely efficient, he immediately accessed the central network, placed an order, and paid for a pound of garlic.
On the day the goods arrived, Si Sisi was crying as he stuffed garlic into his mouth. The smell was so strong that he couldn’t even open his eyes.
Standing outside Bai Yin’s front door, Si Sisi cupped his hands over his mouth and breathed into them. His face was pale, and he turned his head away, feeling a sour taste rising in his stomach and throat, even coming out through his nose. He couldn’t believe Bai Yin would be able to tolerate this.
As soon as Bai Yin opened the door, Si Sisi approached him without saying a word and kissed his lips.
The scene he had imagined did not occur. Instead of being pushed away by Bai Yin, Si Sisi was grabbed by the back of the head with one hand and held around the waist with the other, wreaking havoc.
Si Sisi’s tongue was about to be swallowed by the other party. Damn, this guy surnamed Bai has such heavy tastes.
So, garlic’s success was purely accidental?
Bai Yin seemed to notice Si Sisi’s distraction, his eyes darkened, and he increased the pressure between his lips and teeth.
Si Sisi leaned against the door and bit down on Bai Yin.
Bai Yin stepped back and wiped the blood from his lips with his thumb, “I don’t really like the taste of garlic. Next time you can try some ginger. I like that.”
Si Sisi’s breathing hitched, his expression changed repeatedly, and a dark cloud settled in his eyes. The man surnamed Bai had known all along what he was plotting, and hadn’t exposed him because he wanted to watch the show.
Bai Yin straightened Si Sisi’s collar and brushed away imaginary dust, “If you want to play, I’ll let you play to your heart’s content. How have you enjoyed these past two weeks? Have you been happy?”
Si Sisi had a bad feeling. He immediately pushed away Bai Yin’s hand and prepared to leave, but his shoulder was grabbed, and a voice chuckled in his ear, “It’s my turn to play.”
As the ruler of the planet, his abilities are far beyond those of ordinary people, even a soldier would be far less than one-tenth of his level.
Bai Yin tied Si Sisi to the bed with almost no effort at all.
Si Sisi’s situation was extremely dangerous. Dabai is completely infatuated with Alice and can no longer be relied upon. Self-rescue was impossible, as his hands and feet were restrained.
Most seriously, his communicator was forcibly shut down by Bai Yin, cutting him off from the outside world.
At this moment, Si Sisi was like a piece of meat on a chopping board. Whether he was sliced, minced, or cut into chunks depended entirely on Bai Yin, who was holding the knife.
Before long, Si Sisi heard footsteps. It was Bai Yin who had entered. He struggled to turn his neck, his eyes were covered, and his vision was completely dark, “Bai Yin, what do you want to do?”
There was no response.
The shirt was suddenly lifted up but Si Sisi’s pants were fine. Before he could react or even feel relieved, a sharp pain shot through his back, as if his skin had been ripped open by something sharp.
Si Sisi screamed in pain, “Ah—”
The muscles in his back bulged with pain, and fine beads of sweat seeped out and dripped down.
Next, Si Sisi recited every single curse word that came to mind.
Bai Yin remained unmoved.
Si Sisi clenched his teeth in pain, a metallic taste filling his mouth. He seemed to unconsciously mention Bai Yin’s face, though he wasn’t quite sure.
Just when Si Sisi thought it was just his imagination, the pain in the wound on his back suddenly intensified, and he almost fainted.
After an unknown amount of time, Bai Yin took off his gloves, packed up his tools, and returned. With his hands in his pockets, he looked down at his work, admiring it from above.
A very deep mark appeared on Si Sisi’s back, it was a pattern resembling ripples, with a star in the upper left corner.
That was a symbol unique to the ruler of Tianlan Star.
Bai Yin exclaimed, “So beautiful!”
Si Sisi’s face turned pale. He noticed the man’s breathing was off and roared, “What the hell do you want to do?”
Bai Yin said, “I want to peel off this piece of your skin.”
In an instant, all the hairs on Si Sisi’s body stood on end, and he struggled violently.
Bai Yin laughed, “I was just kidding, don’t be afraid.”
Si Sisi, “…”
The next day, Si Sisi fell ill, a heart ailment.
He wasn’t sure what Bai Yin had smeared on his back, and he couldn’t feel much of anything anymore, but to him, being marked was no different from being a pet.
No, it’s not even as good as a pet, Dabai wasn’t marked.
When Si Sisi saw Chen You being branded with the Hundred Family Surnames before, he only felt horrified and thought it must be incredibly painful. But when it happened to him, he realized that compared to the psychological trauma, the physical pain was nothing.
Bai Yin came in carrying a cup, saying, “Drink the water.”
Si Sisi’s voice was hoarse as he said, “Scram.”
Bai Yin pinched Si Sisi’s chin and poured the water from the cup into his mouth.
Water trickled down Si Sisi’s lips, wetting his clothes, and he coughed awkwardly.
Bai Yin patted Si Sisi on the back, grabbed his hair, and forced him to look up, “When you were playing games with me, I went along with it completely, letting you do whatever you wanted. Now that it’s my turn, you can’t handle it?”
Si Sisi looked at him coldly, “Is this the same thing?”
Bai Yin curled the corners of his lips, “Indeed not.”
“You’re just playing around, but I’m serious. I’m doing the first thing with you as my partner.”
Si Sisi simply kept silent.
Bai Yin touched Si Sisi’s face and kissed him on the lips, “I’m starting to like you a little.”
These words, when heard by Sisi, were automatically translated as, I want to eat you up.
He raised one leg and kicked Bai Yin.
Bai Yin reached out and pressed down, then moved his hand upwards, gripping Si Sisi’s body tightly, “I’m very interested in your body. If you don’t want to end up half-dead, you’d better behave yourself.”
Si Sisi thought to himself, isn’t that the case right now?
He lay listlessly all day, only opening his eyes when he heard a dog barking. Seeing that it was his own big white dog that had come in, he sighed, thinking, lamenting that his son was unfilial.
“Dabai ah Dabai, I’ve wasted all my affection on you.”
The big white dog looked up and howled in front of the bed.
Si Sisi’s face twitched a few times, “Stop wailing. Wait until I die before you start crying.”
The big white dog is still howling.
Si Sisi had a headache. Had he become so miserable that even a dog would feel sorry for him?
That evening, the door to the room opened, and Bai Yin walked in. After staying in the bathroom for a while, he walked to the bedside wearing a black bathrobe, lifted the covers, and got into bed.
Si Sisi’s hands and feet were still bound, and his whole body was stiff and motionless.
Fortunately, Bai Yin fell asleep quickly and didn’t do anything to him.
Si Sisi didn’t dare to sleep, fearing he would have those shameful dreams again, but he couldn’t stay awake for long and eventually fell asleep.
He still had the dream, and this time it was even more intense than the previous two, the whole dream was filled with shaking.
Si Sisi woke up in pain and found that Bai Yin had somehow changed from sleeping upright to sleeping sideways, with his two long legs draped over him.
“……”
Si Sisi loudly woke everyone up.
Bai Yin calmly switched back to sleeping upright, as if it were something he was used to.
Si Sisi couldn’t sleep and blurted out, “What kind of weird problem is this?”
Unexpectedly, he received the response from the person involved, “Got used to it.”
After a brief silence, Si Sisi spoke again, “Bai Yin, loosen my hands and feet.”
The restraining device was equipped with a set of program code that could only be unlocked by the person who set them up.
Bai Yin stood up.
Two or three minutes later, the restraints on Si Sisi’s hands and feet were removed. He stretched his muscles and knew that he couldn’t beat Bai Yin, so he didn’t bother to fight back. This way, he could save his energy and wouldn’t be made a fool of again.
The night was calm and peaceful.
Si Sisi wanted to go back to his apartment, and Bai Yin didn’t stop him. It was just across the hall, not like crossing several planets.
This time, the big white dog obeyed and followed the resident’s steps obediently.
Si Sisi glanced at his family’s Dabai, and thought, it’s good that it can correct his mistakes.
In the morning, Father Si unexpectedly showed up at the door and immediately asked, “Son, Bai Yin said you weren’t feeling well. What’s wrong with you?”
Si Sisi was stunned for a few seconds, then casually said, “The weather is bad, so I’m in a bad mood.”
Father Si suspected he was hallucinating, he had specifically set aside a pile of official duties to come here, only for it to be this?
Si Sisi finished the biscuit in his hand, “Ba, if there’s nothing else, go back. I have to go to work later.”
Father Si pondered for a moment, “Did you have a fight with Bai Yin?”
Si Sisi, “…”
Seeing that his son remained silent, Father Si assumed he had guessed correctly. Speaking from his own experience, he said, “Your ma and I started our relationship through a matching website. When two people first meet, conflicts are inevitable, but after spending more time together, things become much smoother. That’s how you came into our world.”
Si Sisi lay slumped on the table, not wanting to reply to a single word.
Father Si said, “Your ma and I only have an 80% level of compatibility, yet we’ve still managed to stay together for a lifetime. You and Bai Yin will have even less of a problem.”
“Son, the unpleasantness you are experiencing now is only temporary. You must believe that you are destined to be together.”
Si Sisi turned his head and said, “Ba, I can tell. You came here on purpose to brainwash me.”
He stood up, “I really have to get back to work. We can talk about it later.”
After leaving the house, Father Si turned around and went to the other side, changing his demeanor, “Mr. Bai, if you feel my son is not suitable…”
Bai Yin interrupted, “Very suitable.”
Father Si pondered for a moment and then asked, “Then, you and my son?”
Bai Yin took a sip of tea, “He doesn’t really like me.”
After a moment of silence, Father Si asked, “What specific event are you referring to?”
Bai Yin said, “I probably hurt him.”
Father Si, “…”
Has he started thinking about things he shouldn’t be thinking about? Probably.
“So, what are Mr. Bai’s plans?”
Bai Yin said, “I will let Si Sisi know me.”
Father Si wanted to talk a little longer, but his thoughts were interrupted by communication, so he had to go back to attend to his official duties.
Half a day later, Si Sisi emerged from the virtual space to find another person in the living room. He stopped mid-yawn and asked, “What are you doing here?”
Bai Yin sat leisurely on the sofa, “Finished with work?”
Si Sisi’s light gray eyes were blazing with anger. He knew he couldn’t win, and he couldn’t escape either. His face was contorted with rage.
Bai Yin stood up, “You must have learned something about the Bai family from your superior, haven’t you?”
A string in Si Sisi’s mind tightened instantly, and his expression turned strange.
Could this person be up to something?
Bai Yin led Si Sisi to the opposite side, took a key and opened the door to the first room, “Come in, I’ll introduce you to my family.”

Chapter 193. Nowhere To Escape
Arc E: Side Story(Old 4).
Bai Yin noticed that Si Sisi was avoiding him. His eyebrows twitched, but instead of stopping, he quickened his pace.
Si Sisi’s face darkened. He looked around and then walked toward Chen You.
Chen You noticed Si Sisi walking towards him, hesitated for a moment, then was pulled by Li Yan towards the center of the hall.
The central position was even more conspicuous. Si Sisi couldn’t go to them. His eyes were spitting fire, and his facial expression was terrifying. Damn it, Li Yan, you’re ruthless!
Seeing that his actions had attracted a lot of attention, Si Sisi quickly walked down the corridor and entered the restroom. His attempt to close the door was blocked by a hand, and he heard a man’s voice, tinged with amusement.
“Mr. Si, I saw you as soon as I entered the lobby and wanted to say hello, but why are you avoiding me?”
With that, Bai Yin pushed the door open and stepped inside.
With nowhere to retreat, Si Sisi could only force a dry laugh and said, “Mr. Bai, I just heard from my father that you are the head of the Bai family. I was unsure how to address you, so I intended to avoid you for a moment. Please forgive me if I have offended you in any way.”
Bai Yin raised an eyebrow, looking gentle, and asked, “Mr. Si, you don’t blame me for intentionally concealing this?”
Si Sisi shook his head.
Bai Yin smiled, “That’s good.”
Si Sisi glanced at the man, so, surnamed Bai, can you leave now?
Bai Yin sized up the man in the military uniform standing tall and straight before him, saying, “I didn’t expect Mr. Si to be from the Si family of District A, and a military man at that.”
Si Sisi twitched his lips, surnamed Bai, you are really hypocritical. Before you moved in, you probably investigated the backgrounds of not only me, your neighbor, but every single resident in this entire community, didn’t you?
He recalled the first time he met this man, who had told the porters he was a doctor. What a load of nonsense! He wondered what the man actually did for a living, just looking at him gave him the creeps.
“I never expected that Mr. Bai would be the head of the Bai family from the Tianlan Star.”
Bai Yin said, “Mr. Si, now we have a better understanding of each other.”
Si Sisi thought to himself, We’re just neighbors, there’s no need for deep understanding.
Bai Yin followed, “Mr. Si, shall we go together?”
Si Sisi pointed to the urinal behind him, “I need to relieve myself.”
Bai Yin remained completely still.
Si Sisi simply stopped moving too, wasting time with him.
Bai Yin kindly reminded him, “Didn’t Mr. Si need to use the restroom?”
Si Sisi twitched the corner of his mouth, “Mr. Bai, aren’t you going out?”
Bai Yin said, “Then I’ll wait for you outside.”
“…” Si Sisi looked uncomfortable, “This, I might take a long time.”
Bai Yin nodded, “It’s alright.”
After entering the cubicle, Si Sisi’s expression changed repeatedly. He sat on the toilet, deep in thought. Bai Yin, as the head of the Bai family and the new ruler of Tianlan Star, could not possibly be so bored as to come to District A for a vacation.
What could be the purpose? Was moving to the apartment across the hall a coincidence, or was it intentional?
Si Sisi heard the door open and someone come in. There were two sets of footsteps, and it wasn’t Bai Yin.
Then came the sound of the door closing.
Amidst the splashing water, a deliberately lowered voice could be heard, “Ai, let me tell you, the head of the Bai family didn’t used to look like that.”
Another voice, a younger one, said, “Huh? No way? Could it be that they’ve had a face transplant?”
“Yes, face transplant.”
“Holy crap, tell me about it!”
“I only found out about this by overhearing my father and ErShu talking. After Bai Yin’s mother died, his father found him a stepmother. That woman brought a child with her when she married into the Bai family, the child was from her previous marriage and originally had the surname Zhang. Two years after joining the Bai family, the child officially changed his surname to Bai and became Bai Xu, Bai Yin’s Gege.”
“Never heard of it.”
“It’s normal, very few people know about it these days. Bai Xu was considerably older than Bai Yin and quickly became involved in the Bai family’s businesses. He was very ambitious and wanted to become the head of the Bai family, so he was very wary of Bai Yin’s existence, fearing that everything he considered his own would be taken away from him.”
“The Bai family actually put on such a drama. That Bai Xu is shameless. He’s clearly the outsider. Could he be teaming up with his mother to deal with Bai Yin?”
“Isn’t that obvious? Of course they have to get rid of Bai Yin.”
“What about Bai Yin’s father? Doesn’t he care?”
“His father doesn’t have time to deal with trivial family matters, and besides, that stepmother whispers sweet nothings in his ear, telling him that everything is fine at home, and he just believes her.”
“Go on.”
“Shortly after rumors spread that the position of family head of the Bai family had been given to Bai Yin, something happened to Bai Yin. It’s said that when he was found, he was barely alive, and most of the skin on his face had been peeled off. When Bai Yin reappeared, he had a completely different face. It’s highly likely his stepmother did it, because she was his father’s mistress while his mother was still alive, and she resented his mother’s beauty.”
“How come I haven’t heard a single rumor about it?”
“The Bai family later experienced an internal strife, resulting in countless deaths and injuries. Now, anything related to Bai Yin’s past is a taboo in the Bai family. No one in the Bai family dares to talk about Bai Yin’s face. Those who first talked about it have all disappeared without a trace. His stepmother and Gege also disappeared many years ago. I suspect they are long dead.”
“Tsk tsk, how terrifying.”
“You absolutely must not repeat these words to anyone, otherwise it won’t just be you and me who are ruined, but both of our families as well.”
“I know, I won’t say anything.”
Si Sisi, inside the cubicle, was paying attention to the commotion outside. His throat bobbed nervously, and the image of the severed head that had fallen out of the wooden crate flashed through his mind. He immediately accessed the central network to search for information about the Bai family.
All the information is protected by access restrictions, ordinary people cannot view it, and only a select few have access.
Si Sisi withdrew from the central network. Chen You could see it, so he will ask the other party to take a look. He hoped that the face of that human’s head was not that of Bai Xu.
Stepping out of the cubicle, Si Sisi felt a churning in his stomach. When he came out, Bai Yin was not in the corridor, and he couldn’t help but let out a long sigh of relief.
He has a persistent feeling of unease.
Si Si was about to sneak away when his father called out to him, “Why were you walking so fast just now? I called you several times but you didn’t stop.”
Si Sisi regained his composure and asked, “What do you want?”
Father Si said, “I’ll take you to see Bai Yin, the head of the Bai family.”
Si Sisi’s brows immediately furrowed. Why is it him again? “I’m not going.”
“Ba isn’t asking for your opinion.” Father Si said, “As the eldest son of the Si family, you will be taking over my position in the future, so you should participate in some necessary occasions and get in touch with that level of things as early as possible.”
Si Sisi’s temples were throbbing with pain.
Father Si told him to hurry up and stop dawdling.
Si Sisi subconsciously looked for Chen You’s figure, needing to get him to investigate the Bai family’s information as soon as possible, specifically about that Bai Xu.
“Ba, are you aware of the Bai family’s situation?”
Father Si paused noticeably, “Why are you asking this?”
Si Sisi said, “Didn’t you tell me to take charge sooner? Now that I’m asking about the details, I won’t be completely clueless and let others laugh at our Si family in future.”
Father Si coughed twice, “I’m glad you think this way, but the Bai family’s affairs are complicated.”
Si Sisi asked, “And then?”
Father Si clearly had reservations, saying, “In short, it’s quite complicated, you don’t need to know.”
Si Sisi asked in a casual tone, “Does Bai Yin have a Gege?”
Father Si’s expression suddenly changed, “Son, did you hear something from someone?”
Si Sisi said no.
Father Si didn’t believe him and warned, “Stop your curiosity and stop asking about the Bai family.”
Si Sisi seemed to be deep in thought.
In the vast room, Bai Yin sat with several important figures from the Star Alliance, his demeanor and bearing resembling that of an elegant nobleman, commanding respect and admiration.
Si Sisi slowed his pace. This Bai Yin was different from the neighbor he had interacted with, there wasn’t a trace of approachability in him. He was also different from the Bai Yin the two people in the restroom had spoken to. He didn’t evoke any pity or sympathy. He was now the ruler of Tianlan Star, possessing a powerful aura and looking down upon everyone and everything around him.
The conversation inside continued, consisting mainly of polite exchanges and flattery.
Father Si introduced his son to Bai Yin.
Bai Yin merely glanced at him indifferently and did not engage in much interaction with Si Sisi in this setting.
Si Sisi felt relaxed, propping his chin up and stared into the void, doing absolutely nothing. It would have been better to stay home and pet his Dabai. The break time was completely wasted.
Not sure who said what, but it received Bai Yin’s approval.
Si Sisi looked over, wondering what that conversation in the restroom had been about, and then he saw Bai Yin’s face…
He touched his face, thinking that just the thought of losing one’s skin is an unbearable pain.
Bai Yin’s gaze swept past Si Sisi without lingering.
Si Sisi felt a cold sweat break out on his back, as if his thoughts had been read.
While others didn’t notice this brief moment, Father Si caught it. He quietly asked his son, “Do you know Bai Yin?”
Si Sisi shook his head, “I don’t know him.”
He thought to himself, it would be great if that were true.
In the latter half of the banquet, the Star Alliance prepared entertainment for Bai Yin, including a juggling troupe brought back from Earth, and also the first public appearance of the beast-human hybrids after their successful creation through scientific research.
Si Sisi yawned boredly. He looked around and saw Chen You leaning against the wall with his eyes closed, as if he were asleep. Li Yan, that overly protective devil who gets incredibly jealous, wasn’t there.
After confirming that Li Yan was nowhere to be seen, Si Sisi quickly went over.
Li Yan was on the second floor, so he could see everything happening downstairs, including Si Sisi looking for his wife.
He came over after finding Bai Yin upstairs, because of something on his mind.
Tianlan Star also has another name, Destiny Star. On the west side of the planet, there is a blue water curtain that requires a specific item to open.
That thing would be passed from the previous ruler to the next ruler, and as long as the ruler wrote the names of a couple into the water curtain, they might have the chance to have eternity.
Li Yan’s actions were precisely for this purpose.
Upon hearing this, Bai Yin readily agreed, “I have a question for Mr. Li.”
Li Yan had a questioning look in his eyes.
Bai Yin’s gaze fell on a certain spot downstairs, “How do you get someone?”
Li Yan saw that the person standing in that spot was Si Sisi, which was exactly as he expected. He asked in a calm voice, “Body or heart?”
Bai Yin asked, “What’s the difference?”
Li Yan, with his hands in his pockets, said calmly, “If you only want someone’s body, you can force them with some means, or you can subdue them with force. But if it’s their heart, then it’s troublesome. You need to have enough patience.”
Bai Yin fell into deep thought.
Li Yan scoffed, “Some people are just born to respond to force, not persuasion.”
Bai Yin said, “Really?”
He laughed and said, “Could it be what they call need to be fucked?”
Upon hearing the ruler of a star utter such vulgar words, Li Yan’s facial muscles twitched slightly, and he said with a smirk, “Yes.”
Downstairs Si Sisi shivered, feeling inexplicably uneasy. He pulled Chen You to a corner and asked, “Could you log onto the central network and help me investigate something?”
Chen You asked, “Investigate what?”
Si Sisi said, “The Bai family.”
Chen You looked at him.
Si Sisi felt uncomfortable under his gaze, “What? We’ve worked together before, and now that we’re colleagues in the same department, and you’re my superior, shouldn’t you, both logically and morally, be helping me with this?”
Chen You said, “I just wanted to say that you look very good in your military uniform, Old 4.”
Before Si Sisi could even react to how Chen You addressed him, he heard the next sentence, “Making people when they see it want to pin you against the wall backhanded and spank you.”
Chen You smiled as superior at Si Sisi’s angry gaze, and said, “Don’t misunderstand, I don’t have those kinds of thoughts about you.”
Si Sisi, “…”
He looked with a gaze that said, you’ve changed.
“Alright, let’s get down to business. The Bai family, right? I’ll help you.”
Without further teasing Old 4, Chen You logged into the central network. His account represented the status and authority of the main system, allowing him to access anything he wanted to see.
Looking around, Si Sisi lowered his voice and said, “I need information about the Bai family from their early days, the earlier the better.”
Chen You continued through the information pages, decrypting encrypted programs with his fingertips, nothing could stand in his way, and he finally found the relevant content from ten years ago.
Everyone’s appearance changes to some extent from their youth to adulthood, but there’s usually still some resemblance.
Chen You and Si Sisi both tacitly avoided discussing Bai Yin and silently looked at the Bai family’s information.
A moment later, Si Sisi’s pupils contracted. He asked Chen You to zoom in on a photo, and said incredulously, “It really is Bai Xu…”
Chen You asked curiously, “What?”
Si Sisi’s face was grim, “It’s nothing.”
Damn, Bai Yin doesn’t just have a hobby of arranging anatomy models, he’s psychologically twisted.
That day, when he opened the door and came out, he saw the porters carrying wooden crates, but that doesn’t mean there was only one, perhaps other wooden crates had already been moved into Bai Yin’s apartment before that.
Si Sisi remembered that the two people in the restroom mentioned a key figure, Bai Yin’s stepmother.
He felt nauseous again. Bai Yin was just temporarily staying on another planet, but had transported all his belongings over. Did he mean to say good morning to each other every day?
That end is a mold, but the person is lifelike, isn’t it? Si Sisi sighed, feeling a premonition that he was about to change accommodation.
God knows how difficult it was for him to find suitable accommodation.
Chen You raised an eyebrow. Old 4 is lying. He has something on his mind, something related to Bai Yin. He looked at the photo again and memorized the face in it.
Si Sisi paused for a moment and then said, “My family recently put my personal information into a matchmaking website, saying that there is someone who is one hundred percent compatible with me. You can find out who it is, right?”
Chen You was surprised and said, “One hundred percent?” He and Li Yan also had the same level of compatibility.
Si Sisi said, “Who knows? Maybe there’s a problem with the program. Anyway, can you help me check it out?”
Chen You said, “I’ll try my best.”
Si Sisi pursed his lips, “To be honest, your bringing Li Yan back was both unexpected and expected.”
His gaze lingered on the ring the young man was wearing, “You passed the assessment and mastered the seven emotions and six desires of human beings. You can’t let go of them. Saying that feelings are worthless is just kidding me.”
Chen You remained silent, which was taken as tacit agreement.
Si Sisi asked about something he cared about, “When will I receive my bonus?”
Chen You glanced at him sideways and said, “As I said, this is a one-time exception.”
“This time the situation is special.” Si Sisi said, “I might have to run away and need money.”
Chen You rolled his eyes, “Is Young Master Si short of money?”
Si Sisi thought to himself, of course I’m short of money. It’s not like the Si family’s money is his.
On the way back, Chen You fell asleep. He woke up a day later, and if it weren’t for Li Yan’s persistent attempts to rouse him, he would have slept for another half a day.
Li Yan pulled the young man out of bed before he could speak, “Bai Yin is interested in Si Sisi.”
Chen You, still half-asleep, said, “I can tell.”
Li Yan wrapped his arms around the young man’s waist, resting his chin on the top of his head and rubbing it gently, “Don’t get involved in this matter.”
Chen You said he had agreed to help Old 4 and briefly explained the situation.
Li Yan turned Chen You’s shoulders towards him and tidied his messy hair, saying, “Does this even need investigating? It’s clearly Bai Yin.”
Chen You said, “I also guessed it was Bai Yin, but without evidence, Old 4 won’t believe it.”
Li Yan cupped the young man’s face and kissed him, saying, “Never mind that idiot for now, shouldn’t you be paying attention to your man? Hmm?”
Chen You grabbed the man, saying, “What is wrong with you? Aren’t you perfectly fine?”
Li Yan sighed, “I really don’t like touching you when you’re sleeping, it’s not much different from touching a doll.”
Chen You twitched his lips, “Then don’t touch.”
He pulled back the covers, intending to sleep a little longer, but when Li Yan saw this, he picked him up, placed him on the windowsill in the bedroom, and wrapped his arms around his waist before kissing him.
After an unknown amount of time, the wind blew the curtains up, covering Chen You. He reached out and pulled the curtains down, questioning the man in front of him, “Didn’t we agree not to release it inside today?”
Li Yan’s voice was languid, “I forgot.”
He chuckled hoarsely and said, “You’re a man, you can’t get pregnant.”
Chen You said fiercely, “Go away.”
Li Yan braced his arms on either side of the windowsill, his eyes slightly narrowed, surveying his private property without showing any sign of leaving.
Chen You glanced at him, swallowed hard, and said, “You’re not leaving, are you? I’m leaving then.”
Li Yan’s arm was pushed away, and he rubbed his temples and laughed, “You directionally challenged person, where are you going? Running away from home?”
“It’s none of your business.”
Chen You put on his shirt as he walked. He had too much, his stomach felt so full making him uncomfortable. In short, it felt like water was about to come out.
As Chen You reached the door, he suddenly heard a sound, similar to the dripping of water from a tap.
“……”
Chen You went to the bathroom with a sour face.
Li Yan leaned against the door, saying “My fingers are longer than yours. Don’t you need my help?”
“No need.”
Chen You squatted down, put his fingers inside, and cleaned unidentified liquid. The person at the door always fed him a lot, it was only a matter of time before he burst.
Li Yan shook his head, stepped into the bathroom, and rolled up his sleeves to help.
Chen You couldn’t get rid of him, so he had to let the man do it. He kept cleaning, and it seemed like he would never finish. It wasn’t something that could be resolved in a short time, “How much did you release?”
Li Yan scooped out a large amount for Chen You, saying, “Not much.”
This is not much? Why don’t you just fly to the moon? Chen You urged, “Get out, I need to pee.”
Li Yan calmly hardened his stance, “You do your thing, don’t worry about me.”
Chen You, “…”
That evening, Chen You entered the virtual space, used his identity in the main system to access all the data on the matchmaking website, extracted a piece of code, copied it, and sent it to Old 4.
Each system staff has different working hours.
Si Sisi entered the virtual space on the second day. After accepting the message, he saw the information on the code and was so shocked that he sat down in his chair for a long time before he came to his senses.
He never expected that the person with whom he had a hundred percent compatibility was Bai Yin. But this explains why Bai Yin came to District A and, of all places, chose to live across the hall from him.
So he is actually here for an inspection, huh?
Si Sisi was displeased. That surnamed Bai acted superior, as if he were an emperor.
He leaned back in his chair, things were getting out of hand.
Driven by the prospect of the bonus, Si Sisi quickly calmed down, adjusted himself to his best state, and fully dedicated himself to his work.
It was already morning when he finished work. Si Sisi drank a cup of milk, ate two slices of bread, took a shower in the bathroom, and went to bed. He had just lain down when he suddenly sat bolt upright.
No, that matter cannot be left unresolved. Si Sisi was worried he’ll have nightmares.
He changed out of his pajamas, and the big white dog, seeing this, assumed he was going out for a walk and ran to the door to wait.
“Dabai, I have to go take care of something first, I’ll take you out when I get back.”
Si Sisi patted the white dog’s head and rubbed the fur on its neck before going to the apartment across the hall. He raised his hand to knock on the door, only to find it ajar.
It doesn’t feel good, this feeling of being trapped.
Si Sisi knocked twice symbolically, then grasped the doorknob, pulled it open, and stepped inside.
The black dog that ran over barked twice, it was unclear whether it was greeting or issuing a warning.
Si Sisi chose to ignore it.
Bai Yin was making tea in the living room. Without looking up, he asked, “Mr. Si, is there something you need?”
Si Sisi didn’t close the door, leaving a crack. His gaze swept around. He had felt a chill when he came before, and it was even stronger now. His mind was filled with thoughts of that human-shaped object, and he couldn’t help but imagine a scene based on what he had heard, Bai Yin alone in the room, smiling as he skinned Bai Xu and his stepmother.
That’s absolutely terrifying.
The more Si Sisi imagined it, the more he felt there was a bloody smell in the air.
Bai Yin put down the teapot, wiped his hands with a handkerchief, “Mr. Si?”
Si Sisi snapped out of his daze and said directly, “I already know about the data matching situation on the matchmaking website regarding you and me.”
Bai Yin remained expressionless, “What do you want to say?”
Si Sisi said, “To be honest, I only like soft and delicate women.”
Bai Yin continued wiping his hands slowly and deliberately, saying, “As far as I know, you have never had a relationship.”
Si Sisi shrugged, “It’s true I’ve never been in a relationship with anyone, but one thing is for sure, I can get hard for women, but not for men.”
Bai Yin smiled upon hearing this, “You don’t have to get hard.”
Si Sisi, “…”
Bai Yin waved his hand, and the black dog wagged its tail and went to its kennel on the balcony.
The living room fell silent, the atmosphere heavy with tension.
Si Sisi restrained his emotions, “I believe that, given Mr. Bai’s status, education, and cultivation, he would not believe in the so-called data matching on the matchmaking website.”
Bai Yin said, “I believe it.”
Si Sisi, “…” The conversation couldn’t continue.
Bai Yin put the handkerchief aside, crossed his long legs, and said, “Mr. Si, I hope you don’t misunderstand. I came here to learn more about my future partner, it’s a sign of respect and consideration.”
Si Sisi gave a forced smile and said, “I’m not interested in you.”
Bai Yin said neither too quickly nor too slowly, “Currently, I only have a little interest in you. No rush, let’s take it slow.”
Si Sisi was irritated, his tone harsh and disdainful, “Who’s going to take it slow with you?”
Bai Yin stood up from the sofa, his powerful aura spreading out around him.
Si Sisi frowned.
He probably crossed this person’s bottom line.
In the blink of an eye, Si Sisi and Bai Yin exchanged blows, it was unclear who struck first, whose fist landed on whose jaw, or whose elbow struck whose waist.
After a brief exchange, Si Sisi’s hands were restrained, and Bai Yin pinched his chin, “Do you want us to stay as we are, interacting as neighbors, or would you prefer a different approach?”
Si Sisi struggled a few times, but failed.
Bai Yin seemed to be merely stretching his muscles casually, not yet using his true strength. He stated the fact without any emotion in his voice, “You can’t beat me.”
Si Sisi’s tongue swept across the inside of his mouth, his saliva tasting of rust, “There’s a saying on Earth, forced melons are never sweet.”
Bai Yin laughed and said, “I’m not fond of sweets.”
Si Sisi gasped. This guy was definitely out of his mind, even more so than Chen You, but nowhere near as cute as Chen You.
Bai Yin suddenly asked, “Who are you thinking about?”
Si Sisi sneered, “Who I think is none of your business.”
Bai Yin glanced at the two lips under his sight and lowered his head.
Si Sisi’s eyes widened, and he kicked Bai Yin.
Bai Yin easily dodged the attack, grabbed Si Sisi’s leg, and pulled him towards himself, “That’s enough for today. I won’t do anything to you for now, but if this happens again, we might end up fighting in bed.”
After saying this, Bai Yin released his grip on Si Sisi and caressed his wounds, saying, “You’re very charming when you’re angry.”
Si Sisi brushed the man’s hand away, turned around, and walked away.
Bai Yin sat back on the sofa and said to the person who had already walked to the door, “That kiss just now was pretty good.”
The only response he received was the sound of a door slamming shut.
Bai Yin touched his lips, “Alice, I think I’m getting a little more interested in him.”
The black dog on the balcony ran into the living room and rubbed against its owner’s feet.
Bai Yin poured himself a cup of tea, “The first time I saw him, I noticed his butts, which were nicely shaped under his pants, I wondered what it would feel like to touch them.”
The black dog howled and changed from squatting to lying down.
Returning to his apartment, Si Sisi vigorously wiped his mouth, then brushed his teeth three or four times. His mouth hurt, and with a pained expression, he paced back and forth in the living room, “Shit!”
The big white dog stood with its tail between its legs, pressed against the wall, not daring to move.
Si Sisi paced around the living room for a full half hour. He finally plopped down on the sofa, ran his fingers through his hair, and said dejectedly, “Dabai, my first kiss is gone.”
The big white dog didn’t understand its owner’s sorrow.
Si Sisi went to check on the surveillance. There was no one at the door, and the gate opposite was tightly closed, but he had a strange feeling that he was being watched by a pair of eyes.
Disturbed by this unpleasant incident, Si Sisi lost his appetite. He lay down on the ground, his hands behind his head, and feeling that he could still taste the other person’s presence in his mouth, he went to brush his teeth again.
The big white dog was exceptionally well-behaved all day, obediently staying by its owner’s side.
That night, Si Sisi had a dream. In his dream, he was violated, and the assailant was none other than the man surnamed Bai, who did it right in front of several other people.
This is not the worst part.
The worst part was that he woke up to find his pants were wet.
Fuck.
Si Sisi stared at his pants as if he’d seen a ghost. Suddenly, his communicator beeped, and his nerves twitched. He answered the call and spoke first, “Ba, I have something to tell you.”
Father Si’s figure appeared on the screen, “Perfect timing, your ba, I also have something to discuss.”
“Bai Yin came to visit. He is the one who has hundred percent compatibility with you. Son, your ma and I have discussed it. Since fate has brought you together, you should try to develop a good relationship with him.”
Si Sisi gritted his teeth, “Even if he’s a man?”
Father Si comforted himself, “At least a man is a human. Back then, your ma’s cousin married a monster with the upper body of a human and the lower body of a fish. In any case, you are much better than your ErShu.”
Si Sisi’s face twitched, “I absolutely disagree.”
Father Si reassured him, “This isn’t something you can just refuse, son. You need to be prepared. Besides, I think Bai Yin is a very decent person.”
“The key point is that, judging from Bai Yin’s tone, he is very pleased with you, and I expect you two will complete the marriage ceremony and become a family soon.”
Si Sisi turned off the communicator, threw his pants away, and yelled, What the hell is this? Beat it!
He sat on the bed for a moment, then hurriedly went to brush his teeth and wash his face.
After calming down, Si Sisi contacted Chen You, gave him the apartment’s password, and asked him to pick up Dabai and take care of him.
Si Sisi decided to leave District A immediately and go to other remote planets to take temporary refuge.
He would return once Bai Yin’s attention had shifted to other people.
Si Sisi cursed and swore, saying that if it weren’t for Bai Yin, he wouldn’t have had to leave his home.
Just as Si Sisi successfully left the apartment and was about to arrive at the starship, several officers came out from the crowd and blocked his way.
“Mr. Si, we have been sent by our master to bring you back.”

Chapter 192. Hundred Percent Compatible
Arc E: Side Story(Old 4).
When Si Sisi went inside, he saw his family’s Dabai barking at a black dog of unknown breed, its behavior full of ingratiation.
The black dog had a beautiful face with amber eyes. It was smaller than the big white dog and had long, shiny black fur.
Si Sisi looked into the living room, which had the same layout as his own apartment, yet it gave him a completely different feeling.
His vision was filled with a heavy blackness, like a large coffin, making it hard to breathe.
Did the neighbor go downstairs to throw out the trash and leave the door unlocked?
Si Sisi walked over and gave Dabai a light kick, saying, “Come back with me.”
The big white dog had been single for many years, and now that it had finally found a mate, it was not going to leave easily. It rubbed against the black dog, looking very happy.
Si Sisi ,“……”
As a die-hard single, Si Sisi still couldn’t understand it. Isn’t it just the emergence of a similar kind? What’s there to be so excited about just because someone seduced you?
He threatened, “Dabai, if you don’t come back with me, then don’t come back at all.”
The big white dog only had eyes for the big black dog and completely ignored its owner.
Si Sisi had a headache.
He shifted his gaze to the other dog, “Big Black, what kind of magic potion did you give Dabai?”
The black dog lay down like a submissive wife, letting the big white dog rub against it.
Without saying a word, Si Sisi grabbed the dog leash from the ground and forcibly pulled Dabai toward the door.
The big white dog dug its paws into the cracks in the floorboards, refusing to budge. It barked loudly, looking aggrieved and pitiful, as if it were crying. It was so pathetic, completely lacking its usual noble and aloof demeanor.
The black dog lowered its head and rubbed its nose against the big white dog, creating a somewhat poignant scene.
Si Sisi’s face turned dark. Why does he feel like a wicked mother-in-law who’s trying to break up a loving couple?
They’ve only just met, and they’re already inseparable?
The sound of a door opening came from the left, and Si Sisi’s eye twitched. Was the neighbor home?
He turned his head and happened to see his neighbor coming out of the room.
Their eyes met, and they made eye contact.
Si Sisi slightly turned his face. Dude, why did it take you so long to come out when you’re at home?
The man was wearing loungewear, and there were several wet red stains on his hands, suggesting he had injured himself somewhere and gotten blood on them.
“You’re from across the hall, right?”
Si Sisi’s eyebrows twitched. They hadn’t seen each other since that day, and this new neighbor’s overly familiar tone really left him speechless.
For some reason, Si Sisi suddenly thought of Chen You. If the latter were in his situation, he would definitely be laughing heartily and acting very enthusiastically.
His thoughts quickly returned, and Si Sisi composed himself and said, “Yes, I live across the hall.”
The man extended his clean hand, “Bai Yin.”
Si Sisi looked over in surprise. The surname Bai is uncommon, and on the Tianlan star, it’s a symbol of nobility and prestige. He couldn’t help but become suspicious, was his neighbor a member of the Bai family?
If so, then he hoped that this person named Bai moving into this neighborhood, and even living right across from him, was merely a coincidence.
Seeing the neighbor’s gaze sweep over, Si Sisi shook hands with that hand and introduced himself.
Bai Yin said, “Mr. Si’s name is nice.”
Si Sisi returned the greeting, saying, “Likewise.”
Bai Yin beckoned to the black dog, “Alice, come here.”
The black dog, which had been lying down, stood up from the floor.
Si Sisi then realized that the black dog was a little taller than his family’s Dabai, but it was thinner, so it looked smaller.
He thought, tsk-tsk, isn’t this just a case of the female being taller than the male?
Based on Si Sisi’s years of experience observing his hosts navigating the complexities of romantic relationships, he concluded that this would definitely not lead to happiness.
Several hosts were attracted to targets who were shorter and weaker than themselves, making their lives in the bedroom less than harmonious, and none of the couples lasted.
The big white dog didn’t have that awareness, and followed the black dog to Bai Yin’s.
Si Sisi shook his head. People in love are fools, and dogs in love are foolish dogs.
He explained the situation, acknowledging that it was impolite to enter someone else’s home without permission.
“Mr. Bai, when I went out to walk my dog, your door was open, and Dabai heard Ali…”
Si Sisi paused for a moment, then said, “Alice’s barking brought him running in.”
Bai Yin said, “It’s alright.”
He said, “Alice likes Mr. Si’s pet Dabai. If there’s an opportunity in the future, they can interact more.”
Si Sisi faintly sensed a deathly aura emanating from the man. His eyes narrowed slightly, and without lingering, he forcibly dragged Dabai away.
From that day on, the big white dog was afflicted with lovesickness.
Si Sisi sneered, “If you keep whining, tomorrow I’ll take you to get a painless sterilization.”
The big white dog shuddered and became obedient.
Si Sisi sipped his red wine and said, “There’s something wrong with the neighbors across the hall. Be careful, don’t act like an idiot.”
The big white dog howled, as if to say that it had nothing to do with its lover.
Si Sisi scoffed, “Like master, like dog. Bai Yin has secrets and keeps them hidden. Alice is not innocent either.”
His expression changed slightly. He had just said that Da Bai was an idiot, wasn’t he implying that he was an idiot as well?
“Come on, let me take you to get a haircut.”
Si Sisi went to get the leash, “Although your master has never been in a relationship, he has heard a rumor that when someone breaks up, they should cut their hair short and start afresh.”
The big white dog looked listless.
Si Sisi took it outside and saw that the door across the hall was closed. He breathed a sigh of relief, as he had been very afraid of running into his neighbor lately.
It always feels eerie.
Leaving the residential complex, Si Sisi walked lazily, saying, “Alright, stop looking so pathetic. Romantic relationships are off-limits.”
The big white dog ignored him.
Si Sisi usually lives alone. He initially got a dog just to keep himself company, but as time went on, he developed a strong bond with it. He was a bit talkative today, and unusually serious, as he tried to brainwash the big white dog, spreading his dismissive attitude towards love to the animal.
The big white dog kept its head drooping the whole time, showing no interest in anything. Even after changing its appearance, it remained listless and had a poor appetite.
Si Sisi thought to himself, if only Chen You were here, he would surely find a way to amuse Dabai.
He had seen the other party tease the yellow puppy and the little golden snake in many different ways.
There was a black‘n’white dog on the street, strolling lazily and contentedly with its owner.
Si Sisi said, “Dabai, that one is quite pretty.”
The big white dog didn’t like it.
Si Sisi twitched his lips. It seemed that Dabai had been bewitched by Alice.
He used to think it would be nice to have a neighbor since the apartment across the hall was empty, but now that he has one, he feels it would have been better if he didn’t.
Neither the dog owner nor the dog is simple.
Si Sisi stopped in his tracks, thinking, speak of the devil, and he appears.
The man who came around the corner was wearing a black overcoat and still had his top hat on. His facial features were strikingly defined, his demeanor elegant, and his long strides as he walked down the street were exceptionally pleasing to the eye.
Without the black dog. Si Sisi breathed a sigh of relief, otherwise, he was really worried that Dabai would do something impulsive.
Bai Yin approached and asked, “Mr. Si, are you out shopping?”
Si Sisi said, “Just taking a walk.”
Bai Yin glanced at the white dog, “Shaving its fur in winter?”
Si Sisi raised an eyebrow and made up a story, “To train its ability to resist freezing.”
Bai Yin pondered for a moment and then said, “Mr. Si has a very good idea.”
Si Sisi replied modestly, “It’s alright.”
He returned to his apartment, and Bai Yin walked with him. The two were not familiar with each other, but they inexplicably started chatting about dogs, the neighborhood, fruits and vegetables, when the snow would fall, and what New Year’s Eve would be like this year.
Si Sisi thought that he might be really bored. He had colleagues, but he didn’t know who they were, and he couldn’t get along with them like he would with someone in a normal profession.
Wu Wuwu and his companion went to live on another planet, so opportunities to see each other are rare.
Preoccupied with his thoughts, Si Sisi wasn’t paying attention and bumped into the wall.
Bai Yin grabbed his hand, “Be careful.”
Si Sisi didn’t like getting close to anyone, and this kind of contact already made him feel repulsed and displeased. He pulled away and said indifferently, “Thank you.”
Bai Xin smiled, laughing gently.
Si Sisi noticed that his neighbor’s teeth were quite white and aligned.
The neglected big white dog barked twice, trying to get attention. It barked even louder when entering the building, and soon received a response from Alice.
Si Sisi ignored it and entered the apartment by entering the password.
He didn’t notice that the person behind him was staring at his back, lost in thought.
On the 16th, Star Alliance hosted a banquet at AL11 to welcome the head of the Bai family from Tianlan Star as a guest.
The event was grand and impressive, and everyone entering was required to show an invitation.
Si Sisi’s family had a distinguished lineage, with generations of government officials, but the tradition ended with him.
Although he was so famous that strangers often tried to capitalize on his popularity, and he even had fan clubs on major online forums, he still needed to access his personal domain and retrieve the invitation letter.
The officer, who was on high alert, checked the fingerprint information on the invitation letter before making the gesture for them to enter.
Si Sisi exited his personal domain, brushed off imaginary dust from his body, and stepped into the main hall.
Upon seeing his son, Father Si greeted a few colleagues and then stopped chatting further.
“Didn’t I tell you to wear your military uniform? Why did you come in your pajamas?”
Si Sisi,“……”
He rubbed his temples, “Ba, this outfit I’m wearing is EX’s latest outfit.”
Father Si said sternly, “You’re a soldier. What kind of impression will it make if you don’t wear your military uniform at such an important occasion?”
Si Sisi raised an eyebrow. If his father hadn’t mentioned it, and he’d almost forgotten that he came from a military background, “Isn’t this just a welcome party? Are there dress code requirements?”
Father Si said, “The head of the Bai family is the new ruler of Tianlan Star, and the Star Alliance attaches great importance to his arrival.”
Si Sisi scoffed. What did this have to do with him?
Father Si’s expression was serious, “Your ma was prepared and asked me to bring you a set.”
Annoyed by his father, Si Sisi changed into a dark blue military uniform.
Father Si nodded in satisfaction, “Not bad.”
The next moment, he revealed the real reason for asking his son to change into his military uniform, “There will be many eligible women at this banquet, seize the opportunity.”
Si Sisi,“……”
He tugged at the collar of his military uniform, thinking he’d rather be at home petting his Dabai.
Alice from next door has been barking very little these past few days, and Dabai’s illness is getting worse. Si Sisi strongly suspects that Alice has put hex on Dabai.
He had heard of a breed of dog that emits a scent that can make other dogs become infatuated with them in a short period of time.
Alice is very likely the one.
Two people entered through the entrance. They were the same height and had outstanding looks, standing out even among a group of handsome men and beautiful women.
Upon seeing the two people, Si Sisi’s eyes widened slightly.
After a long pause, he twitched the corner of his mouth, Chen You, you hypocrite.
He said that emotions are worthless, yet he went into the virtual world to bring the person back.
Perhaps Si Sisi’s gaze was too obvious, and Chen You noticed it. He looked over.
Si Sisi didn’t turn his head. He met Chen You’s gaze, then looked at the man next to him. A moment later, he withdrew his gaze and turned to look elsewhere.
Chen You raised an eyebrow, the military uniform suited Si Sisi very well.
He strode toward where Si Sisi was standing, saying, “I’m going to say hello to an acquaintance.”
Li Yan subtly blocked Chen You’s view, saying, “There’s no need.”
Chen You frowned, “Move aside, you’re blocking my way.”
Li Yan said, “Let’s go outside for some fresh air.”
Chen You’s face twitched, “Go through it yourself. I’m going to find Old 4.”
They’ve just entered, what fresh air do they need to breathe?
Li Yan’s face darkened, and he pulled Chen You to a secluded corner.
Chen You said, “What did you promise me?”
Li Yan turned a deaf ear.
Chen You raised his wine glass, saying, “I passed the assessment back then, and Old 4 contributed to that.”
Li Yan frowned, “Didn’t you give him a bonus?”
Chen You said, “Those are two separate issues.”
Li Yan’s thin lips pursed into a sharp line, and his voice was deep, “Back then, I was bothered by his excessive attention to you.”
Chen You glanced at the man, “I don’t want to talk to you.”
Li Yan’s expression was sharp, “Then who do you want to talk to? Si Sisi?”
Chen You said, “Don’t get jealous for no reason.”
Li Yan, “…”
Chen You handed the wine glass to the man, saying, “The wine is good, try it.”
Li Yan took a sip and said, “Mm.”
Chen You said, “I checked on the main program’s network, and the head of the Bai family came here for personal matters and will not leave by the end of this year.”
Li Yan lifted his eyelids slightly, “You have so much energy, you even have time to investigate unrelated people.”
Chen You, “…” Here he goes again, getting jealous of everyone. He remembered that he hadn’t set it up like this, it was this person’s own will.
Si Sisi, who was talking to a beautiful woman, kept an eye on Chen You. He noticed that Chen You was wearing a ring on his hand, as was Li Yan.
Si Sisi couldn’t believe it, those two had actually openly announced their relationship to the outside world.
That’s insane!
Seeing Chen You smiling at Li Yan, Si Sisi was taken aback, as if he had seen the virtual version of Chen You—familiar, yet strange.
This is Chen You’s choice.
“Mr. Si, would you like to come sit with me over there for a while?”
Si Sisi looked at the woman in front of him. She had a small face, big eyes, a tall and slender figure. He had no interest in her whatsoever. He said rudely, “No.”
A hint of embarrassment appeared on the woman’s meticulously make-up face. She forced a smile and said, “If Mr. Si is unwilling, then never mind.”
Si Sisi thought the matter was over, but to his surprise, the other party was still there, changed the subject and continued, having returned to normal and in a very good mood.
He finished the last drop of wine in his glass, then turned and left.
The woman bit her lip in frustration, and her companions gave her disdainful looks, saying that she had boasted about being able to get the contact information of the Si family’s heir, but ended up being abandoned.
“He’s gay.”
The woman brushed her long hair aside and smiled with captivating charm, “I’m sure.”
Others took it as an excuse for her failure and made sarcastic remarks, saying it was ridiculous and that Young Master Si didn’t have any gay air about him.
Si Sisi felt he was really idle.
He circled around, hid behind a pillar to eavesdrop on Chen You and Li Yan’s conversation, and was forced to witness their public display of affection.
Li Yan had noticed Si Sisi long ago, and a slight smile played on his lips. He put his arm around Chen You, pulling him closer and showing affection.
Si Sisi had seen plenty of men kissing men, men kissing women, and women kissing women, but those were all from a similar God-like perspective of the mission world, which was quite different from the feeling of being immersed in it now.
He could hear Chen You’s disordered breathing, soft and weak, completely under Li Yan’s control, with no possibility of escape.
Just hearing the sound made Si Sisi hard.
He stared at it as if he’d seen a ghost, then quickly rushed to the restroom. When he came out, he still had that same look of disbelief.
He showed no reaction to seeing beautiful women, but had such a strong reaction just from hearing a sound.
Si Sisi pressed his temples, realizing that he was not only bored but also empty-headed, and needed to find something to do.
Father Si suddenly strode over and said, “Son, your ma just contacted me and said that it’s been confirmed that there’s someone whose data matches yours perfectly in every aspect.”
That means they were destined to be each other’s most compatible partners.
Upon learning this result, even Father Si was shocked. His future daughter-in-law and his son shared a profound connection, one that seemed destined by fate.
The only question is who his future daughter-in-law will be.
Upon hearing this, Si Sisi’s expression immediately changed, “Ba, shouldn’t you have gotten my consent before putting my data into the matchmaking website?”
Father Si said, “We asked, and you said it was okay.”
Si Sisi’s anger faltered, “When was that?”
Father Si said it was a few months ago.
Si Sisi recalled that back then he was mentoring Chen You, who was still a bit of an idiot at the time. It seems idiocy is really contagious.
He took a deep breath, “Who is it?”
Father Si said he was not sure at the moment, “According to your ma’s description, the matching results came out a week ago, but the other party has not responded yet. They probably have concerns and are investigating our Si family and you.”
Si Sisi’s face twitched. What the hell? Was that person going to secretly investigate him?
He was annoyed. What 100% compatibility? The machine must be malfunctioning. Since the establishment of the matchmaking website, he had never heard of such a high degree of compatibility.
“Unilaterally cancel.”
Just as Father Si was about to speak, a commotion arose at the entrance, the main character for tonight had arrived.
When Si Sisi saw the person who came in, his pupils contracted. Wasn’t that his neighbor?
Damn, could it be…?
“Ba, is that the head of the Bai family?”
Father Si nodded, saying that he had only received the notification from the main program a few minutes ago.
Si Sisi reached out and pinched the bridge of his nose. The ruler of the Tianlan Star was his neighbor, but this did not make him feel happy, on the contrary, it felt strange.
There are plenty of places to stay in District A.
Bai Yin scanned the hall, his gaze locking onto a certain direction, and walked towards it.
He exuded an air of nobility, and every move he made drew the attention of everyone present.
Upon noticing his neighbor approaching, Si Sisi immediately took a few steps back, he didn’t want to become the center of attention.

Chapter 191. New Neighbor
Arc E: Side Story(Old 4).
TN: Sorry for late updates. 6 chapters and jouney ends here.
Si Sisi doesn’t live in a detached villa, but in a high-end apartment. The apartment across from his has always been empty, but just now, a family moved in.
The commotion was considerable, with a continuous stream of noisy footsteps mixed with the laborers’ heavy breathing.
Si Sisi was reclining in the living room watching TV, his hand resting on the back of the big white dog, stroking its fur gently, “Dabai, the neighbors are here.”
The big white dog was lying on the blanket, snoring.
Si Sisi crossed his left leg over his right, saying, “I haven’t received my bonus for this quarter yet.”
He reached for the mango slices on the coffee table, put them in his mouth, and savored the sweet and sour taste that tantalized his senses. He relied on this to keep himself awake.
During the last holiday, Si Sisi went to Firebird Star with his cousin’s family. His cousin bought a bag of dried mango slices for his nephew, and he casually picked up a slice to try. He immediately perked up and ate several more slices.
The bag contained less than ten pieces in total. His nephew was making a huge fuss, so Si Sisi had no choice but to buy him a whole box and bring some back.
It is said that this mango is a fruit from Earth. The owner of Firebird Star saw the business opportunity and established a partnership with manufacturers on Earth, buying goods in large quantities and then selling them at a higher price, profiting from the price difference.
Si Sisi didn’t like chewing mango slices, he felt that chewing them made his teeth sore. He would just let the flavor dissipate in his mouth and then spit it out, before putting another slice in his mouth.
Suddenly, there was a loud crash outside the door, like something heavy hitting the ground.
Startled, the big white dog jumped up from the blanket and faced the door, growling softly.
Si Sisi stroked his fur, “Calm down.”
The big white dog was still barking, unable to calm down. There was another sound, and it ran towards the door, barking warily.
Si Sisi slowly went over and opened the door.
At the top of the stairs, two porters were struggling to carry a wooden crate. The veins on the backs of their hands were bulging, their jaws were clenched, and their temples were throbbing. It looked like the crate was very heavy.
Si Sisi raised an eyebrow. The noise just now was probably caused by the porter slipping and dropping the wooden crate on the ground. He called to his big white dog, “Let’s go back.”
The big white dog had already run outside and was barking at the unfamiliar porters.
The porters were already furious, the crates were too heavy, and they had no idea what was inside. Hearing the dog barking only made them more agitated. One of them wasn’t paying attention, and the crate slipped from his grasp and tipped backward.
The wooden crate was very heavy, one person couldn’t support it.
Seeing this, another porter jumped to the side and leaned against the wall, narrowly avoiding the wooden crate and thus escaping being crushed to death.
His face turned deathly pale as he cursed at his companion, “Damn it, what’s wrong with you?”
The one who was scolded stared intently at the wooden crate hanging on the stairs, “Th-th-that…what’s that?”
The wooden crate had been opened, and some sawdust and a grotesque human head had fallen out.
The hallway was quiet.
Si Sisi’s face twitched slightly. The head wasn’t real, the outside was a replica, and the inside was a mold.
He rubbed his temples, it seemed this new neighbor had some peculiar habits, and it was best to avoid dealing with him.
A white shadow flashed past, and before Si Sisi could stop it, the big white dog had already run to the wooden crate, intending to bite the human head.
Footsteps came from downstairs, and the air around them seemed to freeze.
Sensing danger, the big white dog barked twice downstairs and then ran up two steps at a time to its owner’s feet.
The man who went upstairs wore a black top hat and exuded an air of nobility, as if he had just returned from a banquet.
Si Sisi narrowed his eyes, this neighbor was a bit strange.
The man took off his leather gloves, bent down and pressed the head back onto the body inside the wooden crate, then closed the lid of the crate.
He straightened up and looked up at the two porters on the stairs.
Both porters were on high alert, their legs trembling and their tongues slurring, they wanted to explain, but couldn’t utter a sound.
The man spoke, his voice deep and resonant, “Carry it inside.”
He didn’t ask any questions, which made him seem easy to talk to and not overly concerned.
He even had a somewhat approachable demeanor.
The two porters swallowed hard and hurried downstairs, each carrying one end of the wooden crate, to carry it upstairs.
They wanted to finish quickly and leave, afraid of having nightmares that night.
Seemingly noticing the porters trembling with a look of terror, the man smiled and said, “I’m a doctor, and these are anatomical models.”
The two porters breathed a sigh of relief. Oh, so that’s how it is. Fuck, they were scared half to death. They thought it was some kind of perverted hobby.
The man stepped onto the stairs, his eyes beneath the black top hat sweeping over Si Sisi.
He greeted him warmly, “Hello.”
Si Sisi moved his lips meaninglessly, which was his response to the new neighbor.
The man didn’t mind Si Sisi’s cold attitude and stepped inside.
Si Sisi wasn’t interested and went back, petting the dog, when his communicator issued a notification.
【Mr. Si, your family requests to speak with you. Would you like to accept? 】
Si Sisi went to pour himself a glass of water and said, “Accept.”
As he finished speaking, his father’s image appeared on the screen in front of him.
The Si family didn’t know what their son’s job was, or what his salary was like, or whether he had weekends off or not. The couple only cared about their son’s love life and when he would settle down.
For a while, whenever Si Sisi came out of the virtual space, he had to deal with his parents. To cope with the pressure from his parents, he became desperate and simply bought a big white dog and brought it home, saying, this is my companion.
Parents Si guessed that their son was under a lot of pressure and had a mental problem, and that he was not in his right mind, so they calmed down considerably.
“Son, how have you been lately?”
Father Si was wearing a military uniform, and his pupils were the same light gray.
Si Sisi said, “Good.”
Father Si asked, “Where’s Dabai?”
Si Sisi gestured towards the sofa with his chin, “Lying down.”
After saying a few innocuous words, Father Si got to the point, “The head of the Bai family from Tianlan Star has come to District A. We don’t know his purpose or how long he’ll be staying. The Star Alliance has already issued a notice that they will be hosting a banquet for him on the 16th of this month, and I want you to go with me.”
Si Sisi said, “I may not have time.”
Father Si said, “If you don’t have time, just ask for leave.”
Si Sisi shrugged, “The leave application process is rather complicated, and the approval time is uncertain.”
Father Si frowned, “You might as well just resign.”
Si Sisi sighed, “Ba, I’ve told you before, my job is a bit special, I can’t quit.”
Just as Father Si was about to speak, Mother Si pushed him away, saying, “Son, try your best to come, but it’s okay if you can’t.”
Like some noblewomen, Mother Si also loves Earth’s cheongsams. She has an elegant figure, is well-maintained, and still retains her charm.
Si Sisi said he would see how things went, “Ma, don’t put so much oil on your face, it’s blindingly shiny.”
Mother Si, “…”
After ending the communication, Si Sisi went to the virtual space.
He had hundreds of hosts under his control, all selected from different planets, each having passed physical tests and possessing unique strengths, and none of them were easy to manage.
No, there was one person, who turned out to be a top-notch con artist, who completely manipulated him and ultimately made him look like a fool.
Si Sisi is a literary and artistic young man at heart, and every detail of his office reflects his artistic sensibilities and refined taste.
Setting his work badge aside, Si Sisi organized the list of hosts who had completed their tasks, along with detailed task progress reports and information about their return to the real world.
He has a large memory capacity, recording information about each host, including their interests, hobbies, and even the targets they pursued in the mission world.
Given his level of dedication, it would be unreasonable for him not to receive a bonus.
Si Sisi saw that after a host returned to the real world, still constantly in tears, repeatedly calling out to him and asking about the situation of the target in the mission world.
He curled his lip and sneered, “Another idiot.”
Love and romance are illusory things, why bother with them? Nothing is as real as a bonus.
Si Sisi sent the compiled data and information to his superior, who was still the same mentally retarded.
The main system replied with just two words: Keep it up.
Si Sisi’s face twitched. He often said these words to Chen You, but now it’s the other way around. It’s really annoying.
But he can’t just go and beat someone up.
According to regulations, system administrators are not allowed to ask their superiors about bonuses, doing so even once will result in a year’s salary being deducted.
Si Sisi asked.
The main system also replied: There is.
Si Sisi was in a good mood. Not bad, still remembered their past relationship. After all, he was the one who guided this person through completing tasks in various worlds and passing the assessments. They were, in a way, partners.
The next moment, the main system sent a message: Considering this is your first offense, we will not pursue it further. Don’t let it happen again.
Si Sisi, “…”
He propped his head up with his hand, deep in thought. That banquet… Chen You will probably receive an invitation from the main program, right?
Some time ago, Si Sisi contacted Wu Wuwu to inquire about Li Yan’s situation in the virtual world.
Wu Wuwu couldn’t explain it clearly.
None of them had permission to access the main program’s domain.
Si Sisi wasn’t concerned about Li Yan, he was curious about what choice Chen You would make now.
Mind you that the other party said it himself, feelings are worthless.
Whenever he had free time, Si Sisi would take Dabai for a stroll along the riverbank, but he had never seen Chen You, nor did he know where he lived.
Collecting his thoughts, Si Sisi pressed the golden button on his left and entered work mode, dealing with hundreds of hosts simultaneously.
In the following days, Si Sisi did not encounter his neighbors, seemingly due to significant differences in their daily routines.
On Friday evening, Si Sisi had just finished showering when he vaguely heard a dog barking. As the sound grew clearer, he realized that the neighbor across the hall also had a dog, and judging from Dabai’s excited reaction, it was a female.
“Dabai, stop scratching the door.”
The big white dog wouldn’t listen and kept scratching with its paws, clearly showing how empty and lonely it felt.
Si Sisi dried his hair, changed his clothes, and planned to take Dabai downstairs for a run, hoping that the wind would help it calm down.
Spring hasn’t arrived yet.
When Si Sisi opened the door, the door opposite was already open.
There was a dog barking from inside the door, enticing the big white dog. As soon as it heard it, it seemed to be injected with adrenaline, broke free, and ran straight to the other side.
A dog leash disappeared at the doorway, and Si Sisi’s temples throbbed as he strode into his neighbor’s house.

Chapter 190. Making A Ring
Arc E: Extra.
Li Yan was waiting for an answer, but Chen You had fallen asleep.
Facing the person who was sleeping like a log, Li Yan felt helpless, all his anger, fear, tenderness, and desire were forced to disappear.
He patted the young man’s face and gently pinched it, “Did you run into your parents during the day?”
A sleeping person cannot give a response.
Li Yan came out of the young man’s room, then went back in, and stayed inside.
Although the room was small, it was warm and cozy. He felt comfortable and wanted to stay there forever.
Chen You slept all day and didn’t wake up until night.
Li Yan sat on the sofa watching TV, with the sound muted. He was just killing time, there wasn’t much else to do in the limited space of the hotel.
Hearing the sound behind him, Li Yan turned around, his eyes instantly darkening. The young man on the bed had just woken up, his dark hair disheveled, a few strands playfully sticking up. His eyes were slightly moist, and a faint blush covered his face, making him look adorable.
Seeing the man looking over, Chen You paused in his yawn and casually straightened his hair, “Give me the clothes.”
Li Yan turned over the hem of the sweater at the foot of the bed, “Raise your hands.”
Chen You pursed his lips, “I’ll do it myself.”
Li Yan raised an eyebrow, loosened his grip on the clothes, and stood by the bed with his arms crossed, watching how his wife, who couldn’t take care of himself, would manage on his own.
Must know that since he came into this world, this person has never worn clothes on his own, not even his underwear or a pair of socks.
Chen You touched the collar of his shirt, rolled up the sweater and put it over his head, then reached out and pulled the hem down, making sure it wasn’t inside out.
Li Yan felt relieved, yet also disappointed, knowing that his wife, being self-reliant, would no longer depend on him.
He didn’t show the complex emotions of a parent watching their child grow up, it felt a little strange. Regarding parents, in a way, Chen You had created him in the first place.
Chen You added more clothes to his body one by one. Getting dressed wasn’t troublesome, he was just lazy.
In the long, tedious, and monotonous years of the past, Chen You believed that if a program or an instruction could solve the problem, why bother doing it himself?
Things are different now.
Li Yan checked Chen You’s mouth and found it was still a little swollen. He went to the bedside table to get some ointment, scooped out a little bit of the milky white ointment with his index finger, and applied it, “Bear with it.”
Chen You felt a chill in his mouth, and the coldness sent a shiver down his spine, “Can I eat snails?”
Li Yan told him a harsh reality, “You can’t eat spicy food.”
Chen You was very angry and forcefully pushed away the culprit’s hand.
Li Yan pressed down on the young man’s shoulders, keeping him in front of him, and continued to apply medicine to his mouth, “Eating a little less is not a bad thing.”
Chen You was no longer angry.
A moment later, the two left the hotel and went shopping.
At night, young men and women make up the majority of the crowd, laughing and strolling together on the street.
Chen You’s thin chin was tucked into the collar of his black turtleneck sweater. He watched the girl walking ahead of him, who was wearing only a very short dress paired with knee-high boots, revealing a section of her thighs.
The wind was quite strong, and Chen You tucked his chin in even further. The girl in front of him, however, seemed unfazed, swinging her small handbag and swaying her hips. A look of incomprehension crossed his face, “Why is she wearing so little?”
Li Yan was thinking about something else and casually said, “Maybe she used a hand warmer.”
Chen You asked, “What is that?”
Li Yan saw it unintentionally while scrolling through his phone, “It’s a small item for keeping warm.”
Chen You stopped and turned to look at the man beside him, “Go buy one for me.”
Li Yan, “…”
He looked around, went to a nearby boutique, bought a hand warmer, and stuck it to the outside of the young man’s sweater.
Chen You said, “It’s not hot.”
Li Yan straightened the young man’s clothes, giving him a few pats in the process, and said, “Have to wait.”
A short while later, Chen You said, “It’s getting hot.”
The warmth from his stomach spread to other parts of his body, and he felt warm all over, “When we get back, order more of these hand warmers online and put them in the warehouse.”
Li Yan was displeased, “You have me, why do you need a hand warmer?”
Chen You retorted dismissively, “A hand warmer is better than you.”
Li Yan’s forehead twitched. Just because of that sentence, he cannot place an order either, otherwise, with that hand warmer, he would be sidelined.
“Did you see anyone yesterday? “
“Mmm.”
Chen You said, “My Dad, Mom, and Yeye.”
Li Yan didn’t expect it and yet, in a way, expected it. No wonder the young man stayed there for a whole day, “How did you get back to the hotel afterward?”
Chen You said, “I learned the full name of the hotel from the poster, and dad drove me back there.”
Li Yan’s jawline tightened, “What if you didn’t see it?”
Chen You said, “There are no ‘ifs,’ such assumptions are not meaningful.”
“Then what’s meaningful?” Li Yan said expressionlessly, “I searched for you frantically, my mind filled with images of you being in trouble, I humbly prayed to God, telling myself over and over that you would be alright. Was any of that meaningful?”
Chen You frowned, “I don’t want to argue with you.”
Li Yan said sternly, “I want?”
Two men, both handsome and the same height but with different temperaments, stood on the side of the street, and the atmosphere around them was oppressive.
Passersby turned to look, curious about the relationship between the two men and what had caused their argument.
Especially for girls, seeing two handsome guys at once will inevitably draw their attention.
Li Yan turned and left.
Chen You stood there, facing the man’s retreating figure, and said, “I want to eat snails.”
Upon hearing this, the girls were overwhelmed with maternal feelings. Aiyo, the poor handsome guy! It’s just snails, right? Let me treat you!
Li Yan continued walking without stopping, but his hand was grabbed, and he heard the young man’s voice in his ear, “Stop being so dramatic!”
I am being dramatic? Li Yan wouldn’t admit it, “Have you thought about what you’ll do if you encounter the same situation as yesterday again? Will you wait for me where you are, or stand under a distinctive building, or ask passersby for help, or go to the police station and wait for me?”
Chen You was very insistent, “Let’s go eat snails first.”
Li Yan looked at his foodie wife, unsure what to say. He couldn’t bear to hit him, but speaking too harshly would be pointless, “Is there anything else in your head besides snails?”
Chen You said, “Yes, you.”
Li Yan was taken aback, then a smile appeared on his lips, “Let’s go, go and eat snails.”
Chen You curled his lip, saying he wasn’t being dramatic, but he was clearly throwing a tantrum.
Li Yan narrowed his eyes, “What do you mean by that smirk?”
Chen You said, “It doesn’t mean anything.”
Li Yan, “…”
Sighing, Li Yan explained some basic social common sense to his arrogant, genius wife, what to do if you get separated from your family.
Chen You said he knew.
Li Yan pinched his brow, it’d be a wonder if you know.
In less than half an hour, the two of them were sitting at the table, their eyes fixed on the fragrant snails in front of them. The snails were served in a small iron pot, filled with plenty of broth that tightly enveloped them. Just looking at them, without even taking a bite, made their appetites completely whetted.
Li Yan put on disposable gloves, took a snail from the pot, and used a toothpick to pick out the snail meat.
Chen You, on the other side, opened his mouth.
Li Yan’s face twitched as he put the snail meat from the toothpick into his mouth.
After Chen You finished eating, his eyes immediately lit up. It was delicious, and he eagerly awaited the next bite.
At this moment, he was incredibly well-behaved, showing absolutely no coldness whatsoever.
Li Yan was in charge of picking out the snail meat, while Chen You was in charge of eating. They were in their own little world, and neither of them cared about the stares from those around them.
Not long after, Li Yan put down the toothpick and said, “Okay, you can’t eat anymore.”
Chen You said, “I’ve only eaten less than twenty.”
Li Yan took off his gloves and said, “Just try a little bit, I’ll make it for you again later.”
He only loves one kind of food, which is the young man across from him. He never gets tired of eating him, no matter how many times he eats him. Everything else is the same, there’s no difference.
Chen You looked at the snails in the pot and there were still many left, “Waste is shameful.”
Li Yan said sarcastically, “Don’t worry about it. The shameful one is me, it has nothing to do with you.”
Chen You said, “Pack it up and take it. I’ll eat it when I’m better.”
That’s enough! Li Yan said, pulling his wife away, who was still staring longingly at the snails.
Chen You’s expression was very unhappy, he hadn’t had enough snails to eat.
Seeing that the young man wouldn’t leave, Li Yan’s face darkened, and he had no choice but to pull him back and ask the staff to pack up the remaining snails.
The shop staff was a young woman, and she gave them ambiguous glances throughout the entire interaction. She handed them the food container and said, “Have a good day, sir, and please come again.”
Chen You turned around and saw the shop staff excitedly tapping away on her phone and taking pictures of him. Caught red-handed, the employee’s face turned bright red with embarrassment.
Li Yan followed the young man’s gaze and said, “There’s a group called ‘fujoshi’.”
“They have a certain understanding of same-sex relationships and will not resist or reject them, in fact, they might even offer blessings and understanding.”
Chen You said oh in response, they are a lovely group.
The next day, Li Yan accurately found the address of the shoe store according to the name Chen You had given him.
It was perfectly reasonable for Li Yan to bring large bags and small packages to express his gratitude as a family member.
Society is in chaos, when loved ones are lost, no one knows what might happen.
Da Xiuqin quickly said, “Mr. Li, you’re too kind. We didn’t do anything. On the contrary, Xiao Chen stayed in the shop all day and brought me a lot of business.”
She glanced at the boxes in the man’s hand, recognized one of them, and knowing it was expensive, waved her hand and said, “I really can’t accept these things.”
Chen You then stuffed the gifts into Da Xiuqin’s hands, saying, “Keep them.”
Da Xiuqin had no choice but to leave it there for now, planning to put it in the car when they left.
“Why don’t you have a meal here?”
Chen You agreed.
Da Xiuqin called Chen Weidong and asked him to bring back more braised dishes and drinks when he came back.
“Please have a seat.”
Da Xiuqin went to get some melon seeds and peanuts. A large shoe store across the street was opening today, and they had promotions for the next three days, so she didn’t have many customers.
Business will be harder to do from now on.
They don’t have the money to renovate their storefront or move their shop to a better location, so they can only sell whatever they can, one pair at a time.
Da Xiuqin thought it over. If things really didn’t work out, she would close the shop and go sell Ding-ding candy with her father-in-law.
In short, those who have hands and feet will not starve to death.
Li Yan peeled peanuts, threw the shells into the trash can, and gave the red-skinned peanuts to the young man, “You have a father and mother, and you have friends. Are you happy?”
Chen You ate some peanuts and said, “Mmm.”
Li Yan said, “Isn’t the current lifestyle happier than the past one?”
Chen You’s gaze swept towards the door, looking at the outside world from that small space.
He then shifted his gaze to the man and remained silent.
Li Yan also remained silent.
For a moment, the only sound was the crisp cracking of peanut shells.
Chen You asked, “Can’t you stop messing with me from now on?”
Li Yan replied decisively, “Can’t.”
It’s normal and a natural progression for emotions to give rise to desires.
Since his return, Li Yan has been restraining himself every time, and he is still far from being able to fully enjoy himself.
The reason for not telling the young man was to avoid frightening him.
Chen You frowned and asked, “Is it possible to reduce the time for each session?”
“Nope.” Li Yan gave the same answer, feeding the young man a peanut, “You’ve forgotten, everything I have is your choice.”
Chen You understood.
He was a perfectionist. When creating this character, he repeatedly revised, adjusted, and confirmed the data for all aspects of his body.
The final product was flawless.
Whether it’s the length of finger joints or the incredible length of two legs, of course, it’s not just the legs that are incredible.
Chen You’s temples hurt, he’ll go back and revise it.
Li Yan saw through the young man’s thoughts, and his face darkened, “You dare?”
Chen You gave him a look that said, you’ll see if I dare.
A vein throbbed on Li Yan’s temple, and something flickered in his eyes. He smiled, “Go ahead and make your changes. You’ll be the one who regrets it in the end.”
Thinking about it, Chen You rolled his eyes. Oh well, he might as well defy fate.
When Chen Weidong returned, he politely greeted Li Yan and then quietly asked Chen You, “Xiao Chen, is Mr. Li, your elder cousin?” That’s why they don’t share the same surname.
Chen You only said, “He is younger than me.”
Chen Weidong had a Are you kidding me? look on his face.
Chen You didn’t tell the whole story, Li Yan is much, much younger than him.
He had already lived a very long time when he created Li Yan.
Before Li Yan came along, a robot was in charge of taking care of Chen You’s life. After Li Yan came along, the robot was put into hibernation.
Judging by his appearance, no one would know that Chen You is older than their ancestors.
Da Xiuqin was busy in the small kitchen when Chen You came over and said, “Ayi, I’ll cook two dishes for you.”
“You can cook?”
Da Xiuqin coughed a few times. The range hood wasn’t working properly and the smell was strong. She took off her apron and handed it over, saying, “Here, you can have it. The ginger and star anise are on the shelf underneath. Help yourself.”
Chen You put on an apron, lowered his eyes, and rolled up his sleeves.
Da Xiuqin didn’t go out, she watched from the side. As soon as she saw the young man’s gesture with the kitchen knife, she knew he wasn’t joking. She couldn’t help but praise him, “Xiao Chen, whoever marries you in the future will be living the good life.”
Chen You pressed down on a piece of lean meat, and thin, evenly sliced pieces of meat were piled up in rows under his knife.
He hasn’t cooked a single meal since he returned from the assessment.
Chen You hated cooking and the smell of cooking oil, so he couldn’t do anything about it and rarely even went into the kitchen.
However, he added this kind of setting to the assessment world, wanting to change himself.
This can be considered a wish fulfilled.
Chen You turned on the stove, poured in oil, and added ginger and garlic, “Ayi, you can go out now.”
Da Xiuqin snapped out of her daze and left the kitchen to Chen You alone.
At noon, Chen Weidong went to pick up his father from home, and the five of them sat down at a table to eat and drink.
Li Yan doesn’t need to eat human food, but this time, to give his wife face, he ate a lot.
After dinner, Chen You stayed for a while longer before going to ride the Ferris wheel with Li Yan.
Li Yan pressed Chen You’s head down and kissed his lips.
Chen You leaned back, feeling dizzy from the kiss. After struggling for a few moments, he subconsciously put his hand on Li Yan’s shoulder.
On the last two days of the holiday, Chen You came to the shoe store to keep Da Xiuqin company. He noticed that business was slow and also saw a newly opened store across the street.
On the day they left, Chen You and Li Yan appeared at the shoe store and left a paper bag containing a card and a note.
The note contained the card’s PIN. It was left by Li Yan, as a token of his appreciation for taking Chen You in, but no contact information was provided.
Chen Weidong went to the ATM, entered the PIN to check the amount on the card, and was shocked when he saw how much it was.
When Da Xiuqin learned the amount, she was also shocked. That money was enough for them to buy a bigger shop, and even if they did nothing for the rest of their lives, they would still have no worries about food and clothing.
“Weidong, what do you think about us taking out a portion…”
“No,” Chen Weidong interrupted Da Xiuqin, “This money isn’t ours, we can’t touch it.”
Chen LaoYe agreed with his son, saying, “Xiao Chen said he’ll come to visit again in the future. When he comes, we’ll give him the card back.”
Da Xiuqin sighed and said nothing more.
Chen Weidong put the card away, hoping to meet the black-haired young man who looked somewhat like his wife and shared the same surname. He wondered when he would be able to meet him.
After returning, Chen You entered the virtual space, finished dealing with the backlog of work, and then sat in his office in a daze.
【Master, what are you thinking about? 】
Chen You asked an abrupt question, “Are rings easy to make?”
【Well, in my opinion, first you need a set of professional equipment, second you need professional knowledge, and finally you need professional personnel. It seems that you don’t have any of those, Master. 】
Chen You tapped the screen, and a series of detailed step-by-step pictures of making a ring appeared in front of him, “If you want one, it’s not that difficult.”
【Does Master want to make a ring? Is there any for Xiao Lu? 】
“No.”
【……】
Chen You was very busy. He bought a lot of things on the Central Network, and no one knows what he’s tinkering with in his studio.
The studio door was locked with an S-level security lock, so Li Yan couldn’t get in. He could only rely on the instructions he received every day to determine if the young man’s health was fine.
About two weeks later, Chen You unlocked the S-level security lock on the studio and gave the man a command, “Go upstairs now.”
Li Yan entered the studio, and his eyes were immediately drawn to the messy tools and equipment scattered on the table and floor.
Chen You spread his hands, “Take it.”
It was a ring. At first glance, the design was not complicated and was quite ordinary. But upon closer inspection, one would notice that there was a glimmer of light on the surface of the ring, as if a galaxy had been submerged inside.
The ring, of unknown material, lay quietly in the young man’s palm, awaiting its unique owner.
Li Yan’s breath hitched, his heart skipped a beat, and he suppressed his excitement and agitation. He didn’t need to look to know that there must be capital letters on the inside of the ring, which the young man had personally engraved.
Just thinking about the image of the young man carving the letters made Li Yan feel hot all over. He forced himself to say, “Put it on for me.”
Chen You glanced at it, “Put it on yourself.”
Li Yan, with his hands in his pockets, said, “If you would not put it on me, I don’t want it.”
Chen You remained silent.
In the studio, which was the size of a basketball court, the two secretly competed with each other.
Li Yan knew his wife was already approaching him, but he wanted far more than that, he had been preparing himself for this moment for a long time.
After a long pause, Chen You said, “Come here.”
A glint flashed in Li Yan’s eyes. He stepped closer and took his left hand out of his trouser pocket.
Chen You took the man’s hand and slipped the ring onto his ring finger, “I added something to the ring. Once you put it on, it will become one with your spiritual imprint and you’ll never be able to take it off.”
A smile played on Li Yan’s lips as he said in a hoarse voice, “That’s exactly what I want.”

Chapter 189. Wife
Arc E: Extra.
Li Yan searched every single storefront on the street, then went to the opposite street, but still couldn’t find his wife.
He stood on the street, the wind blowing against his face, a chill rising from the soles of his feet to his chest, causing a stinging sensation in every rib.
The supermarket staff said they hadn’t seen the young man. Li Yan’s heart clenched with pain. He hunched over, breathing heavily, and his eyes were filled with clear panic. Where had he gone?
Once he was found, he must be severely punished. Even if the young man cries his eyes out, he won’t show any mercy.
Chen You was on the roadside, three or four streets away.
He was standing outside the supermarket when he suddenly saw an old man across the street carrying a bamboo basket and shouting “Ding-ding candy!” He crossed the road to see, but by the time he got there, the candy seller had already turned the corner and gone down another street.
An elderly woman with a young child asked how much Ding-ding candy cost. The vendor stopped and told her the price, but the grandmother thought it was too expensive and, coaxing and cajoling her grandson, led him away.
Just as the old man was about to lift the basket, he saw a tall, thin young man standing beside him, “Young man, do you want some candy?”
Chen You didn’t say anything.
The old man thought to himself that this was probably another customer who wouldn’t buy anything. He continued walking forward with his basket, making way for the approaching vehicles, and shouting continuously.
Chen You followed along the whole way.
The old man stopped to rest, and the young man behind him also stopped. He sensed something was wrong, and a look of wariness appeared in his cloudy eyes. It was a small business, and he didn’t make much money in a day, it was purely for the sake of preserving the craft passed down through generations.
If the old man encounters a pickpocket, he won’t have a good time for the rest of the year.
However, this young man didn’t seem like a pickpocket. He was well-dressed, had a good demeanor, and was quite handsome.
The old man looked around, noticing the crowds of people on the street, and figured the young man wouldn’t do anything rash, “Young man, what are you trying to do?”
Chen You stared at the transparent bag in the basket, “Ding-ding Candy.”
Upon hearing this, the old man breathed a sigh of relief, understanding the situation somewhat. He took out a small iron hammer and chipped off a small piece of hard candy for Chen You, saying, “Try it, and if you like it, you can buy more.”
Chen You wanted to eat more after finishing his first piece, so he turned around to ask to buy more candy, but found that the man was no longer beside him.
I’m done for.
Chen You looked around, but couldn’t see a single supermarket. He frowned, his expression turning grim.
The old man asked uncertainly, “Are you lost?”
Chen You pursed his lips and said, “My family member will come to find me.”
The old man looked the young man up and down, and couldn’t believe that this handsome young man, who looked so distinguished, could get lost like a child. Could it be because of his Ding-ding candy that he got separated from his family?
“Then you wait here and don’t wander off.”
After walking a few steps, the old man was still worried and turned back to ask, “Do you know where you separated from your family?”
Chen You shook his head, he hadn’t noticed the supermarket’s name.
The old man was stunned, with one foot practically in the grave, this was the first time he’d encountered such a complete imbecile, and he didn’t even look like an idiot, “Do you have a cell phone with you?”
Chen You said he hadn’t brought it.
The old man asked, “Why don’t you borrow someone’s phone and call your family to come pick you up?”
Chen You fell silent.
The old man also fell silent.
This must be what they call a mentally challenged child.
If you don’t memorize your family members’ phone numbers, and you don’t stay close to them when you go out, wandering around on your own, you could easily be kidnapped.
These days, society is in chaos, behind a human facade, who knows what kind of monsters and demons lurk within?
The old man couldn’t help but worry. The young man’s face was so pale, he probably wasn’t in good health, “Why don’t you come with me? My daughter-in-law’s shoe store is just ahead. You can wait for your family there.”
Chen You went with the old man.
The shoe store was sandwiched between a clothing store and a women’s jeans shop. The entrance was small, but once inside, it was surprisingly spacious.
There were two or three customers looking at shoes in the store. A woman in her forties stood nearby, enthusiastically describing the different shoe styles. She had delicate features, with eyes that slanted slightly upwards, and a mole at the corner of one eye.
The old man entered the store, put down his basket, and called out, “Xiuqin, come here.”
Chen You was stunned when he saw the woman turn her head.
Da Xiuqin left her customers behind and came over. She looked at Chen You kindly and asked the old man, “Ba, who is this young man?”
The old man recounted what had happened, saying, “His family must be anxiously looking for him.”
Da Xiuqin pondered for a moment and said, “Young man, think carefully. When you last saw your family, were there any landmark buildings nearby?”
Chen You suddenly said, “Mom.”
Da Xiuqin was taken aback, then she laughed, “Ba, this young man calls me Mom.”
The old man lowered his voice and said to his daughter-in-law, “This child isn’t very bright. Just listen to him and forget it. Don’t take it to heart.”
Da Xiuqin ohed, saying it doesn’t look like it at all.
The old man said you can’t judge a book by its cover.
Chen You,“……”
Da Xiuqin exclaimed, “Ba, look! Young man has a mole at the corner of his eye, almost in the same spot as mine. And you know what? He really does look a bit like me.”
Upon closer inspection, the old man realized it was true. He said to Chen You, “Young man, you have a special connection with our family.”
Chen You replied, “Mm.”
He looked at the old man again, but he had never seen his Yeye before, so he didn’t recognize him.
When a customer wanted to buy shoes, Da Xiuqin went to serve him.
Chen You’s lips curved into a smile. Mom is here, so Dad must be here too. Nanchang, I like you.
Pedestrians and vehicles kept passing by the entrance, and the loudspeaker of the women’s jeans store next door kept shouting, “Everything is thirty-eight! Everything is thirty-eight! Don’t miss it!” The noise, usually annoying, didn’t bother Chen You as much anymore.
Chen You looked at his mother, then walked out. That man must be very angry and looking for him all over the street.
Around 11 o’clock, a middle-aged man entered the store. He was strong and robust, with a rugged appearance.
Chen Weidong is a Sanda (Chinese kickboxing) teacher at a martial arts school. He comes here to eat after class and takes a nap here at noon. He does this every day. When he enters the store and sees a strange young man, he looks at his wife with questioning eyes.
Da Xiuqin pulled Chen Weidong aside.
Chen You, who had been sitting in a chair with his eyes closed, sleeping, immediately opened his eyes upon hearing the voices, his sleepiness completely gone.
After learning about the situation, Chen Weidong thought for a moment and said, “Mr. Chen, I’ll take you to the police station.”
Chen You lowered his eyelids.
He didn’t want to go, he wanted to stay here.
The curtain was lifted, and Chen LaoYe came out and said, “Dinner is ready. Eat before you go. Xiao Chen, if you don’t mind, you can eat with us too.”
Chen You said, “I don’t mind.”
There’s a small room at the back of the store, and another floor upstairs. Renting it costs quite a bit each month, but luckily, Da Xiuqin is quick-witted and good at business, so the store has been quite profitable so far.
Chen Weidong is a teacher. His salary isn’t very high, but he has plenty of free time and often comes to the store to help out.
Chen LaoYe is busy making his Ding-ding candy, determined to keep this family tradition alive.
The meal was very pleasant.
Da Xiuqin and Chen Weidong have no children, so when they met this young man who resembled them somewhat, they felt a sense of familiarity and affection.
She knew it wasn’t appropriate to put food on a young person’s plate, but she couldn’t resist and placed a chicken leg into the young man’s bowl, saying, “Eat more.”
Chen You did not show the slightest sign of resistance or disapproval.
Seeing this, Da Xiuqin put more food on his plate, saying, “Xiao Chen, you’re not from Nanchang, are you? Your accent doesn’t sound like it.”
Chen You said, “I just arrived in Nanchang last night.”
Da Xiuqin asked, “Did you come with your parents?”
Chen You swallowed the food in his mouth and did not answer.
The atmosphere at the table became somewhat awkward. Da Xiuqin, being perceptive, quickly changed the subject, asking Chen Weidong, “Are there any fun tourist attractions in Nanchang?”
Chen Weidong ate his food and said, “Meiling Lion Peak and Tengwang Tower are nice. The Qiushui Square Zoo is optional, you can go or not. There’s also the Ferris wheel, which you can ride if you have the time. There’s not much else worth seeing.”
Chen LaoYe took a sip of his wine, smacked his lips, and said, “If you ask me, it’s better to stay home and watch TV. There are plenty of people outside.”
Chen Weidong said slowly, “Ba, then why do you keep going out every day?”
Chen LaoYe said irritably, “I’m going out to sell Ding-ding candy.”
The father and son exchanged verbal blows, and the atmosphere became lively again.
Chen You emptied the bowl of rice completely, leaving not a single grain.
In the afternoon, Chen LaoYe picked up his basket and went out to sell his Ding-ding candy.
Chen Weidong went to school.
Only Chen You and Da Xiuqin remained in the shop.
Da Xiuqin gave Chen You a bottle of nutritional drink. It was from a case that a relative had bought previously, and nobody had drunk any of it.
“Xiao Chen, how old are you?”
Why is it this question again? Chen You sipped his nutritional drink, “Thirty…”
“You’re already thirty? I can’t believe it. I thought you were under twenty.”
Da Xiuqin looked at the young man’s overly pale face, “You need to pay more attention to balancing work and rest. Health is the most important thing, nothing can buy it.”
Chen You said, “Mm.”
Da Xiuqin went upstairs, grabbed a handful of beef jerky, stuffed it into Chen You’s hand, and then went about her own business.
Chen You stayed in the shoe store, and every woman who came in looked at him.
Da Xiuqin heard several customers say, Lady Boss, your son is really handsome.
The two of them bear a strong resemblance, someone who didn’t know them might think they were mother and son.
Da Xiuqin initially tried to explain, but later she just went along with what the customers said.
She felt both happy and melancholic. How wonderful it would be if this were her own child.
As darkness fell, Chen You still hadn’t seen the man appear. His brows furrowed as he paced outside the shoe store.
Does the man find him troublesome and decide not to look for him anymore?
Chen You had eaten too much beef jerky and felt uncomfortable in his stomach. He wanted a bed to lie down and sleep, preferably with someone he trusted by his side.
A bus was parked not far away, and Chen You accidently saw a poster that was an advertisement for a hotel. Only then did he realize the name of the hotel he was staying at.
At that moment, Chen Weidong had just returned to the shop from school. Seeing that Chen You wanted to leave, he immediately drove his BYD car over without saying a word.
Da Xiuqin said reluctantly, “Xiao Chen, come again when you have time.”
Chen You replied, “I will.”
Chen LaoYe came out and handed a bag of Ding-ding candy to Chen You, saying, “Take this.”
Chen You took Ding-ding candy and said, “Thank you, Yeye.”
After giving a few words of advice, Chen LaoYe waved his hand.
Chen Weidong was a local and knew the hotel’s location. He tried to avoid congested areas and drove Chen You back to the hotel.
Chen You got out of the car and thanked Chen Weidong.
Chen Weidong glanced at the tall, thin figure in the rearview mirror. That kid seemed so naive and simple-minded, was he really going to be okay?
He shook his head. Everything should be fine, he has been sent back after all.
As the car disappeared from view, Chen You had to shift his gaze, and a tall, imposing shadow appeared in his field of vision, emanating a terrifying aura.
Li Yan’s voice showed no trace of emotion, “I’ve been looking for you all day.”
Chen You remained silent.
Li Yan maintained the same tone, his face devoid of expression, “Do you know how I felt when I came out of the supermarket and couldn’t find you?”
He pressed on Chen You You’s shoulders, his tone gentle, but his expression was chilling, “I was scared, terrified, and filled with self-reproach. I lost you. I searched for you like a madman, going street by street, wishing I could turn Nanchang upside down.”
“I’ve cursed this city countless times and regretted bringing you here.”
Li Yan’s emotions gradually erupted, a mixture of extreme anger and extreme panic.
He was afraid that his wife might suffer the same fate as the college student in the news, he didn’t dare to think about anything else.
Sensing that the man was on the verge of losing control, Chen You’s eyes flickered, “I was at the shoe store.”
Li Yan could smell beef jerky on the young man. If there was food, there must be drinks too, “You’ve made new friends so quickly?”
Chen You said, “Not friends.”
Li Yan, controlling his emotions and refraining from shouting, said, “Then tell me, who were you with today, and why didn’t you call me?”
Chen You only said, “I don’t know the number.”
Li Yan, “…”
He took a deep breath. “Then why not go back to the supermarket?”
Chen You said, “I don’t know the name of the supermarket.”
“……”
Li Yan pressed his forehead against Chen You’s and said, with a mix of laughter and tears, “No matter which way of life you choose, I’ll support you.”
“But can you please stop being so willful?”
Chen You lowered his eyes, “I wasn’t being willful.”
“Little liar.” Li Yan laughed angrily, “I’ve been managing every aspect of your life, big and small. Once you leave the virtual world and step out of the studio, you’re completely clueless, no different from an idiot. You’d be easily tricked and even help the person who cheated you count the money.”
“In a situation like this, instead of staying by my side and behaving obediently, you still want to go out and run around?”
Instead of answering, Chen You retorted, “Without me, where would you be?”
Li Yan’s face twitched.
Chen You said, “Watch your words.”
Li Yan raised an eyebrow, “What, Master, are you saying I’m being disrespectful?”
Chen You glanced at the man and said calmly, “If you can’t control your emotions, I’ll delete you completely.”
Li Yan’s temples throbbed with veins, and with a cold face, ignoring the stares of others, he dragged the young man back to the hotel and slammed the door shut.
Chen You sensed danger and took a few steps back. When he realized he had nowhere to escape, his face darkened.
My constipation has just gotten better, and I haven’t had snails yet.
This man definitely won’t give up easily, he might go crazy, and then he won’t be able to eat snails anymore, or even boiled food.
Li Yan’s face was shrouded in a menacing aura, “Speak!”
Chen You spoke, “Speak what?”
Li Yan closed his eyes. Even now, he still didn’t know he was wrong. He seemed completely unaware of this, which was simply courting death.
Punishment is necessary.
Li Yan easily pinned Chen You’s hands behind his back and gave him a slap on the butts.
Chen You turned his head sharply, glaring angrily at him, “You dare hit me?”
Li Yan sneered, and with another wave of his hand, he struck him five or six times before stopping, “I’m not just going to hit you, I still want you!”
He grabbed the young man by the waist and dragged him forcefully into the room. Even if the other person said a dozen or twenty prayers and summoned God himself, it wouldn’t do any good, tonight he’s going to teach this person a lesson.
Chen You was pushed back onto the bed and struggled to sit up, but Li Yan pressed him back down.
He got up again, but was still pressed down.
The disparity in strength is too great, there is no possibility of turning the tide.
If only it were a competition of intelligence.
Li Yan pinched Chen You’s face, looking down at him with a dark cloud in his eyes, “Do you know your mistake?”
Chen You replied, “I don’t know.”
Li Yan’s breath hitched, and then he suddenly laughed, “No need to rush, I’ll let you know.”
Chen You’s voice carried a warning, “Li Yan!”
This was the first time since his return that Li Yan heard the young man call his name. He leaned down and said, “You can call out all the names you’ve given me. I like to hear them, and it likes them too.”
In less than half an hour, Chen You, who hadn’t slept much during the day, started to feel sleepy and weak. After struggling a few times, he stopped moving and let the man do as he pleased.
Li Yan left, then returned, pried open the young man’s mouth, and fed him the food he was holding.
He used his thumb and forefinger to pinch the corners of the young man’s mouth tightly, preventing him from spitting out the food.
Chen felt uncomfortable, the food seemed to be stuck in his stomach. He wanted to vomit, and he also wanted the man to leave him alone. He knew he was in the wrong regarding what happened earlier that day.
Li Yan, as if punishing him, stuffed food into his mouth, saying, “Say you were wrong.”
Chen You grabbed the man’s short hair and tugged at it several times.
That little bit of pain was like a tickle to Li Yan, “You have to understand, virtual space only has a bunch of dead data, but the real world is full of all kinds of living people. You don’t know who is good and who is bad.”
As he fed the young man, he talked about the wickedness of people in society, telling him that no one could be trusted except him.
Li Yan never wanted the young man to use his cunning and scheming on him. It was best to keep things as they were now, he was special to the young man, the only one.
What they need between them is honesty, embraces, kisses, and endless sweet nothings to say for all eternity.
Chen You’s tone was cold, but his eyes were red and he was crying, “I hate you.”
After a moment of surprise, Li Yan chuckled softly, pressing his lips against the young man’s tears, “You say you hate me, yet you’re holding onto me so tightly that I can’t even pull away.”
Chen You turned his head away, buried his face in the pillow, and his ears turned red.
“Wife…”
Li Yan’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he leaned against the young man’s back and whispered in the increasingly red ear, “Don’t be stubborn with me anymore, okay?”

Chapter 188. Journey To Earth (III)
Arc E: Extra.
Pang Yilong was called to a meeting right after making the phone call, the restaurant had indeed changed hands.
He stared at the manager’s gaping mouth as if he’d seen a ghost, feeling like he was dreaming. Wasn’t the contract Chen You gave him fake, and weren’t the things he said just a joke?
Feeling a bit dizzy, Pang Yilong staggered back a few steps and leaned against the wall to catch his breath.
Someone asked curiously, “Manager, who is the new boss?”
The manager said he didn’t know, only that the surname was Chen.
Pang Yilong suddenly looked up, swallowing hard, muttering, surname Chen… I still feel like I’m dreaming.
Chen You didn’t look much older than me, so where did he get such great abilities from?
No, that’s not right. The man next to Chen You, Li Yan, has a powerful and imposing aura about him, like a high-ranking figure who wields great power.
The manager didn’t say much, just told everyone to behave themselves, not to ask questions, to do their jobs well, and to receive their salaries as usual at the end of the month.
Everyone was relieved to hear that there were no problems with the salary.
Pang Yilong pushed aside the people in front of him and ran out. The restaurant was empty. He wiped his face and ran out again to search, running around the streets like an idiot. He had given up hope, but then he spotted his target in a bubble tea shop.
The other party was holding a cup of taro milk tea, drinking it with great relish, like a little child.
“……”
Pang Yilong let out a breath, wiped the sweat from his forehead, walked up to the young man, and asked, “Does what you said still stand?”
Chen You slurped up the pearls at the bottom of the cup, “Yes.”
He looked at Li Yan.
Li Yan handed the contract and pen to Pang Yilong.
Pang Yilong stared at the contract, his expression changing repeatedly. He asked Li Yan, “The restaurant has been bought by you guys, right?”
Without answering, Li Yan said something unexpected, “You’re lucky.”
In the entire universe, there are countless planes and worlds, covering an immeasurable amount of data. If Pang Yilong’s personal information data had not been selected by Chen You, copied and thrown into the assessment world, and a friendship had not been established, and they had not met again on Earth.
That person will spend his entire life working for others, scrimping and saving for a house and a car, working himself to the bone and constantly struggling to make ends meet.
Now, simply by signing his name, he can go from nothing to something, saving himself decades of struggle and even gaining wealth he could never have in his entire life.
If he shows some ambition, stop being idle and wasting his resources, and instead learn to manage and invest, understand what investment is, and how to seize opportunities to profit, he can completely turn his life around.
It’s not something that can be summed up simply by saying he was lucky.
It took Pang Yilong a while to understand the meaning of Li Yan’s words. He took a deep breath, gripped the pen tightly, and signed his name on the contract, his hand trembling.
The contract was made in copies, and Li Yan took one copy.
Seeing this, Chen You’s brow relaxed. He walked out of the milk tea shop, threw the empty cup into the trash can, took a few steps and turned back. Seeing the man following him, he continued walking.
As someone who’s clueless about life, there are bound to be many unexpected situations when he is out and about, so he needs someone he can trust to accompany him.
Pang Yilong snapped out of his daze and realized he was the only one still standing there. He found a place to squat down, opened the contract, and carefully read it. He found that the contents of the contract were in his favor.
“Oh My God…”
Pang Yilong could hardly believe that the pie hadn’t just fallen in front of him, but into his mouth. It was practically running into his stomach on its own initiative, and it was exclusively his, no one else even had a chance to see it.
Such an incredibly fortunate event, something one wouldn’t even dare to dream of, happening even once in a lifetime is a sign of great blessings from one’s ancestors.
Pang Yilong carefully put the contract away. He was worried, wondering what to say when he went to the manager. Should he just throw the contract at him? Or should he ask Chen You and Li Yan for advice? It wasn’t his fault, anyone who unexpectedly received such a huge benefit would be flustered and their mind would be a mess, unable to think straight.
Unexpectedly, as soon as Pang Yilong returned to the restaurant, the manager was waiting for him at the door. Upon seeing him, the manager walked up to him with a big smile, his attitude completely changed, showing none of his usual superiority.
“Director Pang.”
Pang Yilong paused in his steps, his face twitching as he tried to suppress his excitement.
Hahahahaha, I’m the boss now!
While inwardly laughing uncontrollably, Pang Yilong calmed down a bit and guessed that Li Yan had been in contact with the manager, and that Chen You was obviously just enjoying a life of leisure and didn’t care about anything.
The manager didn’t show any signs of his jealousy, such good luck is something he can only hope for.
He had been trying for years without success, and yet this little bastard managed to get it.
Before the day was even over, two major events occurred. First, the restaurant suddenly changed owners, and then a former waiter transformed into Director, making it one of the most legendary events in the world.
The manager couldn’t help but worry about how he would get along with this little brat in the future, and hoped he could somehow make the other party forget all the unpleasantness of the past.
Harmony brings wealth.
Pang Yilong solemnly instructed the manager to call a meeting. He stood tall amidst the shocked stares of his colleagues, delivering a resounding slap in the face to those who had wronged him. He didn’t fire the people who had annoyed him, including the two who had hired someone to beat him up, he kept them around to torment them slowly.
Those who suddenly rise to power are not true friends and will bring a lot of trouble.
Those people know that things are going to get tough, but they won’t leave on their own because they are reluctant to give up the benefits they receive at the restaurant and are afraid of not finding a better job. They can only endure the situation and act subserviently for as long as they can.
Moreover, even if one were to leave, one cannot resign voluntarily.
Pang Yilong enjoyed the envious and jealous looks from his colleagues for a while, then took out his phone and dialed a number. He called Li Yan, who told him they were in a nearby park.
A short while later, Pang Yilong ran to the park and asked, “Can I ask why it was me?”
Chen You watched Li Yan picking small flowers and said, “We have a natural affinity.”
That’s it? Even the great immortals value extraordinary talent when accepting disciples. You’re being too casual. Pang Yilong didn’t understand the black-haired youth’s standards for judging people. He gave him the status of a partner simply because they clicked, and treated him as a friend after only meeting him yesterday.
Pang Yilong looked up at the sky and said to his parents in heaven, Dad, Mom, look! Your son has met a benefactor and his luck has changed for the better!
Li Yan, who was not far away, returned having picked a small red flower, which he placed in Chen You’s hand.
Chen You frowned, “It’s not pink.”
Li Yan said, “There aren’t any pink flowers in the park, so these red ones will do for now. I’ll get you some pink flowers next time.”
Chen You gave the little red flower to Li Yan, don’t want it.
Li Yan coaxed, “The red one is quite pretty. Look at the petals, there are eleven of them, which is the most among all the flowers. And the leaves are symmetrical on both sides…”
Pang Yilong, standing on the side, was completely ignored. These two only had eyes for each other, judging by their gazes and the atmosphere between them, they must have been together for a long time, longer than he had been with his girlfriend.
When Chen You asked about his girlfriend and suggested they have dinner together, Pang Yilong immediately made a phone call and invited her out.
The girl was in her early twenties, with a pretty face and a pleasing appearance. She had gentle eyes and a sweet expression, and when she looked at people, there wasn’t much hidden thought in her eyes, she seemed very innocent.
Chen You had met her and confirmed that she was much better than those of Pang Yilong’s previous ones, so he said to Li Yan, “Book tickets to Nanchang, let’s leave this evening.” He didn’t have much vacation time left, so he needed to make the most of it.
Li Yan booked the ticket, he booked the G1364 train departing at 4:42 PM, from Changsha South to Nanchang West.
Pang Yilong was stunned, “You’re leaving Changsha this evening?” That’s too fast. You just said you arrived yesterday, and you’re leaving today. It feels even more unreal to him.
Chen You said, “Have already been here.”
Pang Yilong assumed Chen You was on a round-the-world trip, visiting each city briefly before moving on. He couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness at the thought of parting, “When are you leaving? I’ll see you off.”
Chen You said, “No need.”
He glanced at his friend and his friend’s lover, “We’ll meet again.”
If he is not too busy with work, he can travel around the world.
When Pang Yilong heard this, he immediately felt much better. How does that saying go? Fate brings people together from a thousand miles away, but without fate, they can stand face to face and still not meet… Well, that doesn’t quite fit, but the point is, there’s still a chance to meet again.
Chen You suddenly said in a voice that only Pang Yilong could hear, “Love requires loyalty.”
Upon hearing this, Pang Yilong’s lips twitched. The way these words were spoken sounded like a warning to a womanizer. Although he was handsome, he would never flirt around and his heart and soul belonged to his wife alone.
Chen You took the handkerchief that Li Yan offered and wiped his mouth. The farewell meal was over, “When you get married, I’ll be there.”
He stood up and extended his hand, just as he had when they first met, “Goodbye.”
Beginning with this ceremony and ending with this ceremony, from now on, they will be friends.
Pang Yilong shook hands and said, “We must meet again!”
With a table full of dishes, and the delicious braised pork knuckle still untouched, two people left the table.
The girl removed the alcoholic drinks from in front of Pang Yilong and replaced them with juice, saying softly, “Yilong, that Chen You is your benefactor.”
“Absolutely!” Pang Yilong pulled his wife into his arms, “Let’s work hard. This is a trump card that God gave us out of pity. We must not squander it.”
After getting on the train, Chen You leaned back in his seat and fell asleep.
Li Yan flipped through the magazine, and when Chen You leaned his head closer, he moved a little closer to him to make him more comfortable.
Not long after, Chen You woke up and needed to go to the toilet.
Li Yan stood up as well, “I’m afraid you might get on the wrong carriage.”
Chen You looked at him and said, “Sit back down.”
Li Yan raised his eyebrows and continued flipping through the magazine, but he couldn’t concentrate on anything. He was conflicted. He wanted the young man to integrate into the larger society and stop resisting going out, but he also wanted to keep the young man at home and keep him dependent on him forever, as if he were the only person in the world.
Chen You went to the toilet and came back to sleep.
Before coming here, he had searched for some cities in the southern part of China and remembered that Nanchang had a type of shredded dried green bean snack called gege, which was spicy and garlicky and had a very good reputation.
There’s a Wanshou Palace in that street, and numerous snack shops line the area. The Hongcheng Grand Market also wholesales a wide variety of snacks, so you can go and take a look.
Chen You originally came to Earth to eat, but after meeting Pang Yilong, he had other ideas.
However, Earth has too many cities and a dense population, and each city is quite large. Moreover, Earth is just one insignificant planet among many dimensions. Trying to find someone specifically would be like searching for a needle in a haystack. He could only follow the route he had set for himself, there was no other way.
Chen You changed his posture, casually resting his head on the man’s shoulder, thinking that he would return to Earth whenever he had the chance. This place was even more interesting than he had expected.
The train was delayed, and Chen You and Li Yan arrived in Nanchang around 6:30.
The station was packed with people, and looking around, you could see many people leaning against the walls, sitting idly on their checkered luggage bags, doing nothing in particular.
There were many people soliciting customers, swarming around anyone they saw, asking where they were going. There were also people from guesthouses, making the area very noisy.
No one questioned Chen You and Li Yan. They were both well-dressed, very tall, and had identical expressionless faces. Anyone with eyes could tell they were not to be trifled with.
The air was damp, just like the weather in Changsha.
Chen You stopped.
Li Yan turned his head and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Chen You said, “I’m hungry.”
Li Yan’s forehead twitched, “You eat after you wake up, and you sleep after you eat. Are you a pig?”
Without responding, Chen You followed the scent to a noodle shop, but when he saw a bowl of noodles on a table with only three or four tiny pieces of beef and a thick layer of oil floating on top, he lost his appetite and left.
Li Yan pulled his suitcase and watched as the young man pursed his lips, his face showing a hint of grievance.
It seems he’s really hungry.
Li Yan glanced around, then took the young man to find a taxi. They would first settle into the hotel they had booked before going out to eat.
When choosing a hotel, he specifically considered the dining options.
Cities at night are all much the same, the neon lights on either side of the street resemble strings of luminous pearls, stretching from one end of the street to the other.
Chen You ate some biscuits to fill his stomach, “How much longer?”
Before Li Yan could speak, he said, “Don’t repeat that ‘it’s almost here’.”
Li Yan glanced at his watch, “About ten minutes.”
The driver probably thought the two young men in the back seat were a bit strange. They didn’t look like XiongDi, but if they weren’t XiongDi, the fact that one was eating the other’s leftovers seemed too intimate. The driver, trying to ease the awkward atmosphere, said that they were almost there.
Nearly ten minutes later, the taxi stopped in front of the hotel.
Chen You looked around, searching for a restaurant.
Li Yan pressed his temples, led the young man through the revolving door, checked into a room, dropped off their luggage, washed his hands, and then wiped his face.
“You lie down, I’ll go pack it up and bring it back.”
Chen You took a nap in the room. The man returned, and the packed dinner was just a bowl of congee with preserved egg and lean pork.
Li Yan lifted the lid and dropped a spoon into the porridge, saying, “Your constipation hasn’t gotten better.”
Chen You’s eyebrows furrowed in dissatisfaction.
“Eat this first, and get a good night’s rest.” Li Yan sat down on the sofa, “I will check on you tomorrow. Once your constipation is gone, breakfast will be cold noodles and clay pot soup.”
He crossed his long legs and said, “For lunch, we can have noodles with soybean paste, it could also be boiled food, Xiongji barbecue, snails soup, and try tofu pudding topped with chili oil in between.”
Chen You swallowed hard.
“Nanchang is similar to Changsha, their cuisine is predominantly spicy.”
Catching sight of the young man’s longing expression, a hint of a smile appeared in Li Yan’s eyes, “If you don’t control yourself, your constipation won’t get better. Forget about other foods, you won’t even be able to eat that gege.”
After a while, Chen You lowered his head and drank his porridge.
Li Yan couldn’t help but walk over and ruffle his hair, “Good boy.”
Chen You was preoccupied with something else, “What is snail soup?”
“This is soup with small snails, use a toothpick to pick them out when eating.”
Li Yan took out his phone and crumpled the photo, “It’s this kind of thing.”
Chen You glanced at it, “How does it compare to spicy crayfish?”
Li Yan said, “Each has its own merits. In Nanchang, snails are more famous.”
Chen You said, “Oh.”
After he finished eating the porridge, he took a shower and went to bed, saying, “Don’t touch me.”
Li Yan said, “Okay, I won’t touch you.”
Chen You frowned. This man usually takes a forceful approach, but why is he being so agreeable tonight?
Li Yan lowered his head, his lips close to the young man’s ear, and chuckled softly, “What, you want me to touch you?”
Chen You pushed the man away, lay down, and closed his eyes.
In the middle of the night, Chen You woke up. The room light was on, and the man was lying next to him.
Chen You stared intently, then reached out and pushed the man’s nose upwards, “You’re the pig.”
Seemingly finding it amusing, Chen You kept staring at it, and the more he looked, the more it resembled a pig.
Li Yan is a light sleeper, he can tell as soon as the person next to him wakes up, so he has a hard time pretending to be asleep.
Chen You said softly, “Why did you stop calling?”
Li Yan knew he was referring to wife.
Chen You said, “Never mind, if you don’t want to call, then so be it. I don’t really want to hear it anyway.”
He took his hand away from the man’s nose, “Why did you stop calling?”
Li Yan was struggling to hold back his laughter, almost to the point of getting an internal injury. Once the young man fell asleep again, he let out a muffled laugh.
After a long while, Li Yan kissed the young man’s lips and said, “Wife.”
Chen You responded unconsciously, “Mmm…”
Li Yan put his arm around the young man’s waist, pulled him into his embrace, and rested his chin on his shoulder, “Goodnight.”
In the morning, Li Yan checked Chen You’s mouth. It wasn’t inflamed and he could eat.
He looked pleased, “Brush your teeth and wash your face, then I’ll take you to eat cold rice noodles.”
Chen You added, “There’s also clay pot soup.”
Li Yan, “…Yes.”
After leaving the hotel, the two hailed a taxi and headed straight for Long Laowu Stewed Soup Restaurant in Shengjin Tower.
Chen You got his wish, but the taste of the soup did not meet his expectations.
Li Yan asked, “To the Wanshou Palace?”
Chen You shook his head, he planned to stroll around the streets.
Passing by a supermarket, Li Yan went to buy a drink. After paying, he came out with the bag, but the young man was nowhere to be seen at the entrance.
Finding no one in sight, Li Yan’s expression instantly darkened.
Still so mischievous! I’ll have to punish him properly this time.
First, need to find the person.
Li Yan’s breathing was heavy and ragged, he regretted his carelessness, realizing he should have held onto the young man and not let him out of his sight for a single moment.
The streets were crowded with people and cars, it was difficult to find one specific person.
Li Yan returned to the supermarket and, after speaking with the staff, showed them a photo of the young man and left his phone number, asking the staff to call him if they saw the young man.
The man was tall and handsome, with a cool and aloof face and a mature charm. The shop assistant blushed and her heart pounded, “Yes, sir.”
After leaving the supermarket, Li Yan took long strides, searching along the street, checking each storefront one by one.
His wife only knows how to write programs, has no sense of direction, has no money, no cell phone, and doesn’t understand anything. He can’t imagine what he might encounter in a strange city.
On the street, a tall man in a black trench coat had his thin lips pressed tightly together, his expression cold and aloof. He exuded a chilling aura, and pedestrians avoided him to avoid getting into trouble.
Author’s note: Hahahaha, I went to university in Nanchang back then, and I loved Wanshou Palace.

Chapter 187. Journey To Earth (II)
Arc E: Extra.
The alley was silent, the air damp, and the wind, passing from one end to the other, brushed against two figures, approaching them stealthily and with a touch of mischief.
Pang Yilong looked at the hand that was extended towards him, it was whiter and more slender than any woman’s hand he had ever seen, as if it had been measured and drawn inch by inch with a ruler.
He looked up at the owner of the hand, but the tall, slender, dark-haired young man was not someone he recognized from his memory.
Seeing that the boy did not accept his help but instead stood up by supporting himself against the stone wall, Chen You looked at Li Yan, who was not far ahead.
Li Yan didn’t say or do anything, he was letting the young man know that caution is for strangers, and that to gain someone’s trust, one must first do things that make the other person willing to give that trust.
There are many kinds of friends. Whether you use your heart or material things, and what your initial attitude is, will determine what kind of friends you end up with.
Chen You frowned slightly and shifted his gaze to the boy, “Do you need me to take you to the hospital?”
Pang Yilong stood inside the protective barrier, not letting strangers in, nor going out himself, “No need.”
He limped forward, supporting himself against the stone wall, and collapsed to the ground in less than two minutes.
When Pang Yilong woke up, he was in the hospital, with an IV drip in his hand, smell of medicine all around, and his various superficial wounds had been treated. He hissed, “Fuck, let LaoZi knows who’s behind this… Who the hell are you?!”
After the screaming stopped, Pang Yilong finally remembered that the young man by the door was the one from the alley, whose hair was as black as ink. He wondered what kind of shampoo he used to have such good-quality hair.
However, the young man’s hair was so dark that it made his face look even paler, and his lips were completely colorless, giving him a distinctly unhealthy appearance.
Pang Yilong wasn’t stupid, by now, he pretty much knew what had happened. He sat up and asked, “Did you bring me to the hospital?”
Chen You said, “You could say that.”
It was that man who carried Pang Yilong into the car and brought him to the hospital. The man belonged to him, so it can be understood that he was the one who brought him there.
Pang Yilong ran his fingers through his hair with his free hand, “You paid for my medical expenses, right? How much was it?”
Chen You went outside and asked the man in the hallway, “How much are the medical expenses?”
Li Yan stated a number, and Chen You went back to the ward and repeated the number.
Pang Yilong’s face immediately turned ugly. He yanked the needle out of the back of his hand, his emotions running high, “Holy crap, this is outrageous! So much money? Why don’t you just rob a bank?”
Chen You didn’t react much, and it was unclear what he was thinking.
Clearing his throat, Pang Yilong coughed, “What’s your surname, buddy?”
Chen You said, “My surname is Chen, and my given name is You.”
“Chen You…” Pang Yilong said, thinking the name was good and easy to remember, “It’s like this, I’m a bit short on cash right now. Could you give me your bank account number so I can transfer the money to you when I get paid next month?”
Without hesitation, he said, “Of course, if you’re worried I’ll run away, I can tell you my address.”
Chen You said, “Go on.”
Pang Yilong’s face twitched as he gave an address.
Chen You noted it down, stored it in his memory, and marked it as a friend.
Pang Yilong waited for a while, but the young man didn’t say anything. He gritted his teeth and asked, “Then what’s your account number?”
Fuck, his injury isn’t serious compared to before. He just had an upset stomach these past couple of days, didn’t eat much, and collapsed from exhaustion after the fight.
Who knew the medical bills would be so high? After a month, even after sending money home and covering his own living expenses, the little money he has left isn’t even enough to satisfy his girlfriend’s needs. She’s never satisfied, and that’s going to cause problems.
Instead of answering, Chen You asked, “This is my first time in Changsha, and I’m not familiar with the area. Could you show me around?”
So you want me to be your tour guide? Pang Yilong readily agreed, “Sure, no problem.”
He burst into laughter, “Meeting each other is a matter of fate, we are all XiongDi from all corners of the world. Chen You, I’m very happy to have met you.”
Chen You reached out his hand again, this was the second time.
Pang Yilong was taken aback for a moment, it seemed the black-haired young man in front of him placed great importance on this gesture of friendship. He grasped the offered hand and smiled, a bright smile despite his bruised lips.
Influenced by him, Chen You’s lips twitched, forming a brief smile.
Before leaving the hospital, Pang Yilong asked for the relevant receipts. It was impossible for him to get reimbursed by the restaurant, so he would take them back and put them in the drawer of his bedside table. He would flip through them when he had nothing to do, to remind himself that he would get his revenge sooner or later.
“I have something I need to take care of, so I have to go back for a bit. Here’s my phone number. Let’s meet at Orange Isle at 1 p.m., okay?”
“Ok.”
Chen You didn’t have a cell phone, and being lazy, he only remembered the number, so he turned his head and told the man.
Li Yan took out his phone and entered the number.
After walking some distance, Pang Yilong suddenly remembered that he had forgotten to ask Chen You who the man next to him was. He realized he should have greeted him.
The three met at 1 p.m.
Pang Yilong changed his clothes, he had some bruises on his lips and face, but he still looked handsome. He scrolled through his phone. He had come to Changsha for university, and four years had passed, but he hadn’t had the chance to properly explore the city because he lacked both money and time.
Life is full of stress, things are constantly going wrong everywhere.
Pang Yilong asked the man next to Chen You and learned that his name was Li Yan. He couldn’t help but despise his own name, what kind of name is Yilong? It sounds awful. Look, look, how nice are other people’s names? Yan Li is the opposite, and so easy to remember!
“Go that way, there’s a grassy area where you can sunbathe.”
Composing himself, Pang Yilong led the way, introducing the scenery along the route as they walked, “You’ve come at the wrong time. If you had come two months later, in May, you could have seen fireworks on Saturday night.”
Chen You asked, “What are fireworks?”
Li Yan said, “A flower that blooms in the sky.”
Chen You looked up. The sky was very blue with fluffy white clouds. He looked around and saw that the place had a wide lawn, a park, mountains and water, and beautiful scenery.
Chen You yawned, feeling sleepy.
Li Yan handed over a piece of chewing gum, the outer paper had already been peeled off.
Chen You took it and put it in his mouth. It was fine until he started chewing, but then he felt even sleepier. He stopped walking, his eyelids drooping heavily.
Li Yan supported the young man, holding his arm and putting his arm around his waist, ignoring the stares from those around them, and led him to a nearby restroom.
Pang Yilong, who had walked a long distance ahead, was talking so much his mouth was dry. He vaguely sensed something was wrong, and when he turned around, there was no one behind him.
Where the hell is everyone?
Pang Yilong stared wide-eyed, completely dumbfounded. He didn’t know whether to leave or stay. He gritted his teeth and decided to wait a while, since the other party had taken him to the hospital and paid his medical bills, so he was considered a benefactor.
Pang Yilong sat down on the lawn, propped his knees on his elbows, and started scrolling through his phone.
After about half an hour, Pang Yilong finally saw the two figures. He was surprised. Something wasn’t right. Chen You’s lip color was the palest he had ever seen, which was why he remembered it so clearly. But now, they were red, as if they had been bitten forcefully, and even broken.
Pang Yilong looked at the man standing next to Chen You and felt that something was off, but he couldn’t ask anything, so he could only keep his doubts to himself.
Upon reaching the statue, Pang Yilong spontaneously offered to take photos of Chen You.
Chen You stood there with a large statue behind him.
Click, click, Pang Yilong snapped a few photos, then turned and asked, “Mr. Li, would you like to come along?”
Li Yan remained motionless, his gaze fixed on the young man before the statue.
After a while, Chen You said, “Take a picture.”
With a slight smile, Li Yan strode over and walked at a leisurely pace to the young man’s side, standing beside him.
Pang Yilong was even more confused, Chen You seemed to be giving orders at the same time, yet also making an invitation.
He had just finished taking the photos, and before he even had a chance to select any, he was told by Li Yan to send them all over.
“……”
Pang Yilong took Chen You and Li Yan to the small square and said that so-and-so used to stand there and talk big, pointing out the flaws in the country.
Chen You closed his eyes, took a deep breath, the wind messed up his hair, casting shifting shadows across his face. His lips, slightly upturned at the corners, gave him an unexpectedly innocent expression.
At that very moment, Li Yan pressed confirm, freezing the scene in time.
When they left, the three of them rode in a small train.
Chen You propped his head up, and the scenery outside flashed by in his pupils, not disappearing, but being recorded deep in his mind.
He glanced at the man and said, “Give me your phone.”
Li Yan placed the phone in his hand, “Do you know how to unlock it?”
Chen You lowered his head and tried to swipe the screen with his index finger, but it didn’t open. He tried again, but it still didn’t open.
Li Yan pressed his brow, “Slide it upwards.”
Chen You moved his index finger up, and the phone screen appeared, showing his photo.
He was sleeping on the man’s lap, his face turned to one side, holding the man’s fingers.
“What’s this?”
“Photo.”
Li Yan said, “There are many in the picture library, take your time to look through them.”
Chen You then found the picture library, which was full of his photos—close-ups, distant shots, sleeping, eating—this man was doing this kind of thing anytime, anywhere.
His face was expressionless, “Who gave you that right?”
Li Yan’s gaze was deep, and his tone was slow and gentle, “You…!”
Chen You paused for a moment, then turned his head to look outside.
Pang Yilong, sitting in the back, was listening to music with earphones in his ears and uploading photos to Weibo, immersed in his own little world.
After leaving Orange Isle, Pang Yilong had no idea where to take the two of them at this hour, so he decided to take a walk first.
Passing by an internet cafe, Chen You stopped.
Pang Yilong tentatively asked, “How about we go in and play a game?”
Before long, the three of them were sitting in front of a computer on the second floor of the internet cafe.
Pang Yilong quickly turned on his computer and logged into the game. While the game was loading, he took a moment to glance around.
The man was looking at something on his phone with a pleased expression, while the young man with black hair had his eyelids closed, appearing to be on the verge of falling asleep.
Neither of them touched the computer.
Could it be that he was simply tired and wanted to find a chair to sit down and rest for a while, which is why he come to the internet cafe?
What happened to playing games? Was this all just a joke?
Pang Yilong didn’t care anymore, he started playing the game himself, returning to his guild to complete quests.
Hearing the sound of keyboard clicks, Chen You opened his eyes and turned his head to look.
His fingers twitched, he turned on his computer, clicked on the same game, and registered an account.
Li Yan’s attention was focused on the young man, he watched as the other person explored, familiarized himself with, and accepted it.
After Pang Yilong finished his mission, he glanced at Chen You doing his mission, he clicked his tongue in admiration, thinking, he’s quite skilled, I really wouldn’t have guessed.
After watching for a while, Pang Yilong turned to Chen You and, after a long pause, blurted out, “I have a feeling that in a past life, you were my buddy.”
Chen You replied, “Mm.”
Pang Yilong was stunned for a while, then he burst out laughing, “You’re really funny.”
Chen You said, “Not as funny as You.”
Pang Yilong,“……”
He lowered his voice and gestured towards Li Yan with his lip, “What’s your relationship?”
Chen You pressed the space bar, “Because your question involves personal information, I’m sorry I cannot answer it.”
Dude, are you looking down on me? You’re trying to tell me the answer in a roundabout way, thinking I won’t understand? Pang Yilong clicked his tongue, confirming his suspicion about their relationship.
I’ve long suspected it.
While playing with the mouse, Pang Yilong asked, “How old are you?”
Chen You said, “Very old.” He had forgotten his exact age and couldn’t remember.
Pang Yilong rolled his eyes.
After leaving the internet cafe, Pang Yilong asked if they wanted to go to Huo Palace for something to eat.
Chen You said, “Go.”
Pang Yilong noticed that Li Yan offered no opinions throughout the entire process, as if he was fine with going wherever Chen You suggested.
For no apparent reason, he thought of kings and knights.
Huo Palace is located on Pozi Street, with red walls and green tiles, and its local snacks are famous far and wide.
When the three arrived, the place was already bustling with people.
Chen You, invigorated by the aroma, headed straight for the stinky tofu.
After finishing a bowl of stinky tofu, Chen You wanted more, but Li Yan didn’t give him any money, saying he had already eaten too much and couldn’t eat anymore.
Chen You’s face was grim.
“I’ll treat you to…” Sensing a gaze as sharp as a knife, Pang Yilong’s words took a sudden turn, and he almost bit his tongue, “Sugar-coated glutinous rice cakes.”
“You’ve never tried it before, have you? Come on, let’s go, I’ll take you to buy some.”
Chen You asked, “How does it compare to stinky tofu?”
Pang Yilong chuckled, “Baba is Baba, but it’s different. I guarantee you won’t regret eating it.”
Chen You went with him.
Shaking his head, Li Yan kept a close watch on his family’s big mouse, afraid it would be lured away by food.
After strolling around and enjoying the aromas, Pang Yilong took Chen You and Li Yan to eat spicy crayfish. He and his girlfriend often came here because the prices were reasonable and there was a wide variety of options.
The crayfish at this restaurant has a tomato sauce flavor that’s infused with delicious taste, and the broth is fantastic.
Pang Yilong would practically suck his fingers off every time he ate, asking as he ate, “How is it? Delicious, right?”
Chen You ate politely, saying, “Delicious.”
After finishing what was in his mouth, he sat and waited.
Li Yan, who was standing next to Chen You, did not eat. Instead, he slowly peeled the shrimp shells. When the bowl was full of shrimp meat, he put it in front of Chen You.
Chen You continued eating.
Pang Yilong, watching from the opposite side, clicked his tongue in amazement.
While Li Yan went to wash his hands, Pang Yilong couldn’t hold back any longer and said to Chen You, “To be honest with you, I can’t even do that for my girlfriend. Yours is really good to you.”
Chen You replied, “Mm.”
I just can’t control him, can’t beat him, and can’t put him in the cryogenic sleeping chamber. I have to do it with him every day, whatever he was doing, he would get to work without a second thought.
Around 10 o’clock, Chen You fell asleep while standing. Li Yan caught him in time to prevent him from falling down.
Pang Yilong’s eyeballs almost popped out several times today, he had never seen anyone fall asleep while walking.
That’s awesome.
Li Yan took Chen You to hail a taxi.
Pang Yilong’s tour guide job ended, and he kept asking for the account number. He said he was poor, but he wouldn’t stoop so low as to cheat on medical expenses, he couldn’t do something so unethical.
Li Yan said, “You should tell him yourself next time.”
Pang Yilong was taken aback. Will there be a next time? Could it be that this wasn’t just a chance encounter?
He was about to ask something when the taxi had already left.
Chen You was carried back to the hotel by Li Yan.
Although he doesn’t need to work, he still needs to use his brain to make friends and he still needs to sleep.
After entering the room, Li Yan put the young man on the bed, took off his outer clothes, and said, “Wash your face before you sleep?”
Chen You unconsciously made a sound, almost muttering, “No.”
Li Yan said, “Behave.”
Chen You stopped moving.
Li Yan kissed the tip of the young man’s nose.
The next morning, Chen You woke up, and the first thing he said was, “Tomorrow we’re going to Nanchang.”
Li Yan nuzzled against his neck, “Let’s go to the hospital.”
Chen You pushed the man away, frowning as he asked, “Are you feeling unwell?”
Li Yan then approached the young man again, saying, “It’s you.”
Chen You pushed the man away again, his eyes questioning.
After being pushed away twice, Li Yan sighed, “You’re constipated.”
Chen You said, “It’s nothing.”
Li Yan explained to the reckless young man, “If things don’t go well, you can only eat liquids for a short period of time and can’t eat any spicy food. Also, I won’t stop touching you just because you’re constipated, when that happens, you will bleed.”
He smirked, “Master, have you made up your mind? To go or not to go?”
Chen You’s lips twitched slightly. Then let’s go.
After getting the medicine from the hospital, Chen You returned to the hotel and asked Li Yan to go out and run an errand. He didn’t give any specific instructions, just spoke in a normal tone.
Li Yan did not question him and quickly got the matter settled.
In the afternoon, Chen You went to the restaurant where Pang Yilong worked and asked, “What is your dream?”
Pang Yilong was extremely irritable after being scolded by his manager. The reason was that a wealthy woman offered to be his sugar mama, which he refused. The woman then came to the restaurant to cause trouble, affecting other customers, and the manager pinned the blame on him.
Upon hearing Chen You’s question, Pang Yilong casually replied, “Be a rich person.”
Chen You said casually, “How about I take over this restaurant and let you run it?”
Pang Yilong couldn’t believe it, “Are you serious?”
Chen You then magically produced a document, saying, “Sign your name here, and you’ll be a partner in the restaurant.”
Pang Yilong gasped. A domineering CEO? He frowned, it was like a huge pie had suddenly fallen from the sky, and it was hard to swallow, “Why?”
Chen You didn’t explain further, but said directly, “The restaurant’s profit sharing is all in the contract. You transfer the money to this card, and I’ll come here from time to time throughout the year.”
As he spoke, he placed the paper with the card number written on it on the table.
Regardless of the authenticity of the contract, and since the manager hadn’t revealed anything, Pang Yilong couldn’t understand the man’s trust in him, “Aren’t you afraid I’ll embezzle it?”
Chen You said, “We are friends.”
Pang Yilong said, “…” We only met yesterday, can we call each other friends?
Before he could finish speaking, his phone rang. It was his girlfriend calling. It was the usual conversation between young couples, what are you doing? Have you eaten? Have you missed me? Are you dressed warmly enough so you don’t catch a cold?
When Chen You heard Pang Yilong calling the person on the other end of the phone “wife,” he instinctively looked at the man.
Li Yan hardened his heart, pretended not to see, and waited for the young man to take the initiative again.
Chen You looked away, completely unaware of the disappointment in his eyes.

Well, glad this yilong will have a good life after this. In the other world, he is super rich and forever in an unrequited crush, but at least this time yilong won’t have such feeling towards CY. I’m actually surprised LY didn’t even show his jealousy and allowing CY to make friends 😆
